She's OK.

She's been reporting on Syria for over 10 years. She's a Syrian, I think she lives in Australia.

I have always found her to be genuine.

That post has me seriously thinking that the precipice might involve Syria and not, as I thought, Ukraine.

Isn't it interesting that this should happen just before Trump gets in.

edit. in answer to the posts i think that in "the sum of all fears" that the nuclear material came from Syria (maybe the Golan Heights ) and it was an Israeli nuclear bomb that had landed but not detonated.

i'm just checking.

no, they want "the rebels" to topple Assad's Syria.

In the last war, the Israelis used to patch up injured ISIS soldiers.

They support ISIS, it's their army as much as it's Obama's

ISIS only attacked Israel once and they apologised.

I guess an ISIS commander didn't get the memo about who they were working for.

You can support Israel if you like, but don't be blind to their methods.

For Israel, the buffer zones they require are always in someone else's country.

Thieves.

I studied the Syrian war when it was happening. I think of Assad as protecting the legitimate religious minorities in Syria including Christians.

Any incoming government resulting from the "rebels" will probably be Salafist and will at least repress and probably ethnically cleanse minority groups as has happened in areas under their control historically.

Israel and Turkey and the US deep state care not about Syrian Christians, Yazidis, Druze, Alawites.

In fact these other countries would probably prefer the minorities to be murdered.

This is interesting.

If something bad happens in Syria now, it will be harder to blame Assad for it.

Syria might be a candidate for the precipice, and I was thinking it was going to be Ukraine.

Perhaps the Russians have removed Assad so he doesn't get the blame for a nuclear attack, maybe Israel does, or Turkey, or Iran

The signature would be Uranium one, so it will initially implicate the US
