Amazing to read the comments here about what people are anxious about, and then go elsewhere on this board and get told that it's fishy that exit polls say abortion was the driving issue.

Um, no. California state law already restricts abortions in the third trimester. Proposition 1 does not explicitly address this one way or another, so precedented state law flows through.

It's almost like half a million voters fled the state...

A potato who is actually from PA. Stop running celebrity candidates outside of New York, New Jersey, and California

Then make it a federal holiday and mandate time off work for all employees. If it's, you know, important. Mail-in voting is a necessary stop gap that allows more people to vote than would otherwise be able to because of the circumstances of their employment. Half of the microprocessor factory workers in Oregon wouldn't be able to vote without mail-in voting. College students are able to easily vote without having to decide whether they skip a class or skip a meal in order to vote.

Mail-in voting also encourages hand-counting and discourages electronic vote counting and harvesting.

Wow, it's almost like it takes longer to count more votes than it take to count less votes, and that denser populated counties skew Democrat. Cities skewing liberal is not a new phenomenon, nor is the fact that it takes more time to count a million votes than it takes to count a few thousand.

It doesn't include data from Wayne county, the most populated county in the state by half a million people.

Wow, half a million people who would have voted against Hochul left New York? How on Earth did she win it makes no sense?! It's not like half a million votes that would have gone to her opponent left the state!

Oh wait

Okay, well, nevermind that, let's focus on PA! It's a good thing Republicans ran a real candidate with proven governance chops and a working knowledge of grocery stores who's actually from Pennsylvania and not just a rich carpetbagger from New Jersey with a recognizable name.

Oh wait

You should have learned by now that liberals are really good at swallowing their nose and voting for their lesser of two evils. The leftists call this phenomenon "the ratchet effect".

I know tons of people who voted for Biden in the national in 2020. I don't know a single person who voted for Biden in the primaries. Not one Biden voter I have spoken to loved him, and no one under 50 who voted for Biden would even claim to like him. But they still happily voted for a man they would never want to be President, because they didn't want Trump to be President even more. Trump inspires fear and anger in his enemies, which has long been a part of his appeal and power. But fear and anger are powerful motivators.

Because the people listing abortion rights as a priority aren't worried about heating their homes or feeding their children.

Edit: Also, abortion is like, the existential issue of the religious right? Billions have been raised over fifty years to bring us to this point, to stop the baby genocide. You really going to try and spin that abortion "isn't a big deal" now?? Fear and hate are powerful motivators, but so too are joy and triumph, and the joy and triumph brought by Trump's judicial picks saving the babies of America are a part of the gains made last night that shouldn't be discounted.

Oz was not a strong candidate outside of a primary environment. You don't get to just make a fool of yourself around groceries and get away with it, especially during a time of intense pinching. Look at what grocery mistakes did to Bush (original recipe) in 92. And all for a gallon of milk...

If it's been a year and they haven't released anything to contradict the results, would you then rethink this assertion?

What two and two though? There is no four here! The meme compares a single button press counted by machines with an election that has mail-in and hand-counted ballots! There is no point, it's pure bathos!! And, I mean, do we really want to be exhorting people to think kindly about electronic automated vote collection? Really??

Anyone who gets redpilled by this nonsense is too stupid to be an asset. Expect better.

This plan makes no sense. To the sheep, that well was poisoned as of a week ago or whatever. This is the folly of wanting a military intervention before national redpill swallowing, crystalized in miniature.

Individuals? You don't need to do that. This isn't Mr. Smith Goes To Washington times, it's the 2020s. Payouts aren't direct and haven't been for decades. They get funneled through pork belly to subsidize this or that firm.
