God has been bringing Exodus to my mind a lot lately. How hopeless it must have felt to be the Israelites. Trying to go, being blocked my Pharaoh time and again, the horrible plagues, etc. Then, they are finally free and the army comes after them. All seems lost... and then God parts the Red Sea and they escape.
This story has resonated with me so much. God loves to do awesome things when all hope seems lost. Over and over and over again in the Bible. Jesus is dead. Everyone is mourning and crying, and He is raised from the dead on the 3rd day. Gideon's army dwindles down and it looks impossible, yet they triumph. David slew Goliath with a slingshot and a stone.
God loves to show us all that impossible things are possible with Him!
Faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains! I have faith that God will defeat this evil! I believe that it will happen. Good will triumph. Evil shall be exposed. We shall receive justice!!!
Agreed. I'm reading Joseph in Genesis. He helped Pharaoh usher in the Great Reset of that era, but saved peoples' lives. And then, later in Egypt, Exodus. This is God's show not ours.
The god of Israel isn't really into repentance, he's into scapegoating and blood sacrifice. You're thinking of God the Father, who has a wildly different personality. Hey, don't feel bad, they've been pretending to worship the same god as their host cultures since the Persian Empire. They know how to trick.
127 years Noah stood on that prophecy from God. For a deluge of faith check out the prophets Hank Kunneman, Kat Kerr, Kim Clement, Johnny Enlow. Be ecouraged -- it is GOD who fights this battle ... GOD ALWAYS WINS, HE IS FAITHFUL TO HIS PEOPLE AND HE WILL BRING JUSTICE QUICKLY AS HE HAS PROMISED!
Not being a doomer here, but the best a Christian can ever hope for is in the end to say " Oh Death, Where is thy sting? "
Read Foxes Book of Martyrs, as Christians were being burnt at the stake, God gave them Dying Grace to Proclaim Jesus to those who watching them burn, and many were saved as they heard, yes God always wins.
When Nero tied Christians to the front of his chariot, coated them in pitch, lit them on fire and rode thru Rome, yes those Christians were in Paradise with Jesus the moment they died, and Nero is now quaking with fear as he is in Gehenna awaiting the Great White Throne Judgement where he will be cast into a literal lake of fire that being the Second Death. Yes God always wins, but I do not see any promises that can be claimed that America will be spared from this Great Evil that is upon us, tribulation sometimes brings opportunity to share Jesus with those that are oppressed. Christians living in China can pray all day long and Communism will probably not disappear in their lifetime. We all want a God Honoring Country, but don't assume that is God's Plan just to fit your narrative.
Perfect example from God's Word
"Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up."
They did not presume upon God's deliverance, they said He was able to deliver them from the fiery furnace, but even if He did not, they would be delivered from the Kings hand, from the furnace into life everlasting with their Lord.
I am wondering if we missed something at the Tower of Babel. Seems like the languages that divided us maybe weren't language as in English, Spanish, etc. What if they learned to change their language to trick people into subservience and THAT is what has forever divided the people?
New Christian here, obviously. Just seemed interesting to me as we watch new interpretations of language being used to instill fear, guilt, subjugation and major division.
Noah was labeled a conspiracy theorist until it started raining. ?
Bye-bye ?
Amen!!!!

The story of Noah was plagiarized from the Sumerians, and their god Ninurta who wielded a rainbow (and arrow).
O ye of little knowledge, God is loyal to the victor only after the victory.
