It's like atheists too. If God isn't real, why can't they stop talking about Him as if He IS real? Because they know that He is and they need to cope because of their daddy issues.
And their pride issues.
Yeah like when someone is wrong, and proven wrong by plain facts right in their face, but they just can't admit they were wrong and keep sticking with it, changing their story as required.
I’m an atheist and I basically never talk about religion or think about God. Atheists online tend to be the most obnoxious people, but not all of us feel the need to validate our own beliefs by attacking people who think differently.
My best mate is an atheist, and he's mentioned it only once in all the years I've known him.
At the other extreme, I once met an atheist while backpacking who within half an hour of meeting everyone basically gave a two hour sermon on his beliefs.
The preachy atheists give the non-preachy atheists a bad name.
Here's the way I've always looked at the whole Theist/atheist thing: If I believe in God, live a godly life, treat people as I would like to be treated and strive to always do the right thing, then I die and discover there is no God...what have I lost? Nothing. I will have left behind my reputation. If I am right, then I will live in heaven with God and the saints for eternity.
On the other hand, if I don't believe in God, regardless of the life I've lived for good or evil, and I die and discover God DOES exist, then I will spend eternity in Hell.
To me, the choice seems obvious. You've got nothing to lose by putting your faith in God...and everything to gain.
Just my two cents...
Voltaire on his deathbed : what do you have to lose??
Nah, Christianity is not insurance. I’ve noticed the real gospel is NEVER preached by Q people. The point is not to “believe in God”...it all centers around Jesus Christ
??
I didn't grow up in church - actually the opposite. I'd only stepped foot in one a handful of times until I was 19 and wandered into a local church out of curiosity. Never looked back.
I don't know what your situation was - whether you had bad experiences in the church or just lost interest - but I can tell you that once you develop a real relationship with God and He becomes like a father and a spouse and a best friend to you all at once, you will never look back. You'll live in that peace and joy you've been missing.
I respect that. I'm a Christian and feel the same way. Not my job to shove it down others' throats.
Kudos to you then.
Always thought that was so odd. Like...I don't believe leprechauns exist and it never occurred to me to go find a forum and talk all day about how leprechauns don't exist. Strange behavior! They're obsessed with GOD
XD
Yeah, no offense but I'm an atheist and I almost never talk about god. I could care less 99% of the time. The flaw here is most of these libtards aren't real atheists. They worship "the state" like its a god. So of course they constantly try to prove your god isn't real and their god is better than yours.

This.
I haven’t found that to be true.
Most Athiests I met, to quote one, “Have Sky Daddy on the pay no mind list.”
Many people, even religious ones, just don’t think about God as much as you do.
