I thought he was being impeached for “high crimes and misdemeanors” from “inciting violence”. How will the Senate be able to accept all this information if it’s not in relation to the charges.

Enjoy the show.
Read H.Res.24 on how he incited the riot:
"if we commit fraud and you challenge it that's inciting violence!"
He is going to bring several Box trucks full of documents. and start to read them.
In the articles of impeachment, it states that he incited an insurrection "by falsely claiming election fraud". Wouldn't that make it his responsibility to PROVE fraud?
This exact argument would "prove" he incited the crowd for insurrection. Does anyone here actually try thinking once in a while?
But the indictment states "false statements of election fraud" if the statements are true, and they sure are, then the insurrection is done by those accusing Trump of their crime. And they wouldn't legitimately have power. But I'm no attorney so I'm only guessing.
Just how many times do I need to tell you people to stop your insane arguing on the subject that is clearly outside your analytical thinking and instead spend 10 minutes reading the Senate impeachment rules first. Read the damned thing, ask someone who can actually comprehend what it says to explain it to you before you pointlessly argue a losing side of the discussion. SENATE, and ONLY the frigging SENATE sets the rules, however they feel like. You see a SCOTUS judge presiding? Do you really think that openly ignoring the law and bringing this clown show will somehow stop them from running it any way they want, including suppression of any pro Trump facts and arguments?
They did not allow Trump to defend himself in the House to rule on the articles of impeachment. Against the law. Do you still think they will afford him any rights in the Senate now? They piss on the law, openly and frequently, and what you and I think (and assume) should happen, by law. By now, after days of this ridiculous liberal like whining of "but I want..." I have no idea how else to explain the reality we are facing. CONGRESS IS PISSING ON THE CONSTITUTION. There, is this clear enough?
Just how blind does one need to be not to see this circus for what it is?
Its a show for libtards, not for us. Read the Senate impeachment rules, its mind blowing to see so many arguing for hours while refusing to spend the 10 minutes on actually educating themselves on the subject. The ONLY rules that apply are the rules Senate sets for itself, any way they feel like. With GOPe McConnell on board.
And I am now seriously losing track of Trump's strategy. Why hire 2 criminal attorneys to run this shit show, one an Epstein hired dude and another who defended big time criminal bosses. Neither ever dealing with any Constitutional matters in prior cases.
u type all tht text but y no Trump just prove the fraud
Yes. This will be a kangaroo court. I agree that this is unconstitutional. The whole election thing is moot until the fraud is accepted, justice is meted to those responsible and complicit, and votes become meaningful again.
If they won't follow the law, why should he? He's gonna say, "Naw fuck them muthafuckers, I'm going to present what I think America as well as the world need to see!" because I believe this will be televised.
I think the leftist opinion is by him telling the rally the election was stolen and there was massive fraud incited the violence. If that’s the argument, proving there was election fraud would deboonk that. You can’t say he incited a riot by speaking total truths to a crowd
Well, you could come up with some scenarios where truth, or perceived truth, incites violence.
That's not the case here, but, I'm not sure how much it strengthens Trump's case to prove the fraud. Now, if he's not worried about being impeached, regardless of what they say, because he has the votes, then maybe he'd take the opportunity to show the evidence, alluding to the fact that it relates to their "charges".
He cannot. I know its a wet dream for so many, but the reality is that Senate runs the show, to a T. And to the minute in case of any senator wanting to make a statement. And won't allow any of it no matter what Trump's team wants, nor does.
Senate impeachment rules is a short, 20 pages long read. The only discussion, as you correctly stated, is incitement for insurrection". Mike will be muted for anything else.
Um, no. Did you watch the first impeachment? Many topics, seemingly far a field, were introduced. As long as evidence is germane to , or rebuts the charge, great latitude is the norm. I remember clinton's impeachmernt...it was a cornucopia of tangents.
We'll compare notes in due time.
