You should check out Sevierville. It’s the area surrounding Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. If someone was looking for a view, clean air, and somewhat quiet, it’s an ideal spot. I’m not sure about the schools, though
Just got back from there last weekend. Sorry but idl how locals cam stand it. Its nothing but a main strip or tourist shir holes that havent changed aince i was a kid 20 aomething years ago. Literally every building, business, main attraction atill the same and looking so dater, with the exception of a few new things. Unless your going to stay in a secluded cabin like my wofe and I did, its not worth it. Even to get to your cabin your passing dilapidated, run down, homes that make you wonder what kind of life the locals have to be kn such shacks. Sorry if i offended any locals
A lot of that on the outskirts is left over from the fire. We do that though. We’ll rent a chalet and hang out in the hot tub most of the time. Just have to mind the bears lol
I live in Sevier County. Close to Knoxville, close to Maryville and close to the mountains, but horrendous traffic. I moved to the area in 2005 and we had a downtime right after New Year's until around Memorial Day. Now there isn't really any downtime.
Franklin too expensive. Focus on East to Northeast of Davidson County. Wilson Co. has low property tax and I do believe they are still giving out "rural" loans for this area. Mt. Juliet property values are increasing by an average of 6% annually for last 15+ years. Number one school district (public) as well for Wilson Co. Not saying I live there, just what a friend told me. Specifically for u/Magistra, Donelson Christian Academy (DCA) is close and VERY convenient for residents of Mt. Juliet.
Somewhere Not too Close, but Not too far from Nashville so far. Going to take another week off and Really take a deep dive. We were there for a week and did ALL the touristy things. The first time. Just a really beautiful state! How about you?
To my southern neighbors, I raise you a glass of bourbon in salute and pray this goes through! KY just became a constitutional carry state in 2019 and open carry without a permit is legal as well. (You might have noticed the BLM protests don't go too terribly far outside of the lib strongholds of Louisville and Lexington)
"Shall Not Be Infringed" means something in Tennessee. It was already on our short list of "Retirement States" to move to if/when, and this certainly moves Tennessee up a notch or two...
We are looking into moving to Tennessee...THEY are Sweetening the Pot!!
You’re more than welcome, Frens.
East Tennessee is best. Knoxville is iffy though
Honeymooned in Nashville and surrounding areas. Loved it!

Will Do...Thank You QiC!!
I reside in Greene, fren
We are actually having the Iris Festival this year. You should come up and check it out

All the Gatlinburg traffic it sounds like
I prefer two wheels and some outlaw country but not opposed to some classical.
from memphis. Can confirm east TN is better.

ALL GREAT CHOICES - Magistra!! We are looking for the same...except not worrying about the Little ones :)
It really looked like it Vindicator! Just waiting for work to allow me to work from another state!
Kentucky has this. Its SUPER NICE....
Oklahoma too I believe
Come on, Abbott! Texas needs this!
For real. I bought my first gun last summer but I've put off getting my cc license hoping Texas will follow suit on this.
So basically they are removing infringements that they had NO AUTHORTY to burden the People with in the first place.
That’s my state!
Great to hear.
My new daily carry is now showing "In Transit."

So here I come, Tennessee!
Girl: "Wow, is that a giant pistol or are you just glad to see me winks"
You: "It's a giant pistol. LoL"
Retired here 15 years ago at age 55 and haven't regretted even one day! Love our governor Lee!! Come join us!! We are in the Cookeville area.
Proud of my state for this. Nashville and Memphis are pretty blue but the rest of us are solid. It goes to Ways and Means on March 10th I believe

Now we just need beshear gone
Your turn, Texas.

Bout damn time Tennessee gets on that freedom train with Mo and other states.
I love my state
Time to move back to TN.
Following suit of Kentucky
I cannot wait to move there!!!
Our governor's name is Bill Lee, not Bill Weild or whatever this article calls him. Just waiting for this to pass so I can LEGALLY carry my 1911 .45.
Noticed that too. Checked to see if someone commented on the wrong name. I am not disappointed.
Good. Now Gov. Lee needs to END THE MASK MANDATES!
There are no statewide mask mandates, he left it up to the various local governments
Right, but we want HIM to outlaw it
I know what you mean, but the legislature needs to do that.
Ten four.
