I work in a grocery store. Im currently on leave because of my refusal to wear a mask. I'm about 98% sure that when they say "conditioning" what they mean is to straighten out the aisle and endcaps, pull the product forward so it looks good, etc
That maybe what The Dollar General calls it in their training manual, but in the real world they don’t do anything at all to make their stores more presentable.
Yes my nephew works at Kroger. They make that announcement on the top of every hour to remind the employees to take care of whatever it is they do every hour.
Ive heard it in the early am at my local Kroger but they dont call it conditioning they call it something else.
Honestly I think conditioning in Kroger means to check aisles for out of place/wrongfully placed items. I had a job delivering magazines to various grocery stores and I remember hearing conditioning before.
Kroger has a union. If they don’t like it, they should get the union to fight on their behalf. But I doubt the union cares about this particular issue or is willing to fight for it.
Kroger has been closing its stores when the local gubmint tries to temporarily raise the wages of employees. Happened in Long Beach and again in Seattle.
I've heard the intercome thing. They're talking about top of the hour cleaning. I still shop there sometimes but heard they won't sell my pillow anymore so they are about to be dead to me
I use to work for walmart distribution and at the start of every shift we would have to stand around in a big circle and do stretching and exercises to loosen up, Maybe It is something like that but we didn't do it every hr or even at halfway through our shift.
Conditioning just means front and facing the product on the shelves. I was a Grocery Manager for a grocery chain called BiLo. Some stores call it conditioning, some call it fronting and facing, and Walmart calls it “zoning”. It’s just sprucing up the shelves for customers. We didn’t do it hourly though. It takes time. We did it overnight
All I know, is that Kroger’s in Arizona, has never bothered me once about wearing a mask. I have never worn a mask at Kroger ‘s. Any of them in Arizona. Not one employee has ever asked me to put one on. In addition to that, each and every cashier has always treated me with respect and kindness. I can’t say that I would shop anywhere else. Every time I go to Walmart, and I mean every time, there’s somebody at the front door asking me to wear a mask. I tell them no thank you and just keep walking.

We called it facing at Osco
Trader Joe's also called it facing. Usually 3-deep was the minimum requirement.
Target and Walmart both call it zoning. Best Buy calls it farming. Dollar general calls it recovery. Some places call it facing.
There's a lot of different names for the same thing.
My first job was at a Dollar Tree! Graveyard shift was a fun time...
rotation ,rotate the stock at the pet food supply.

Same for Target
Drown those fucking vegetables
just fuck those vegetables up with some water
I'm sure they would add iron weights if they could, but they must settle for just the extra water weight.
When I was little the grocery store played a thunder sound play before turning the water on to mist the produce.

X called it facing
Conditioning probably means santize everything, again. Kroger is communism.

don't have any krogers nearby and the kroger products are all shit, so nothing to boycott here

Incredibly based, honestly I hate unions normally but maybe an anti mask union or something makes sense?

Kroger used to sell MyPillow products? Wow.

Kroger is another store still keeping its mask policy here in Texas after our mandate is rescinded on Wednesday.
Top of the hour con is a team meeting for what needs done.

coulbe a O2 break
that intercom recording plays about every 15 minutes to half hour round the clock.
I dont shop there because of it, I go by every once in a while because I have a bank in there.
the store has very few people shopping in it. they also have the lease amount of products if you look around out of any other store.
you want meat? Kroger barely has any in stock.
on a side note McDonald's made a contract with fake meat producers recently. kroger may go the same route.
