I am in a mask mandated state, in a suburban area that is very compliant.
I have been having some work done on my house for a month. Every time a worker comes in they have a mask, and every time I tell them they don't need to wear it unless they want to at my house. Some immediately take it off and smile, others keep it on. Today I am happy to say there are 5 guys from 3 different companies in my house, 3 of whom kept the mask on in previous visits, Not one guy is wearing a mask today, all in the same room. It is a glorious site to see.
My wife thought I was annoying people by saying something every time. I thought I might be annoying them too, but kept doing it. And now I have seen these great results.
Same, I had an appointment last week and as I entered the receptionist was fumbling to put her mask on. I said no need to do so on my part as I did not have one on. She immediately removed it and seemed relieved.
nice, around here in parking lots for grocery stores a high % wear them. My brother picks them up to go so he doesn't have to deal with it, he says he gets happy just seeing someone wait till the last second before entering the store to put one on or taking it off the second you leave the store.
This needs to end, it is beyond ridiculous.
Oh my gosh yes! I was in the grocery store parking lot today, maybe 20ft away, when an elderly lady smiled and said "I like your mask". Of course I didn't have one on yet, I would typically put one on in the store because I get anxiety over being confronted. But that gave me courage, so when I walked inside, the worker behind two giant signs that said "mask required" asked if I wanted a mask. I just said no thank you and kept walking. I was literally the only maskless person in the store.
This was the first situation that made me look around and realize people get out of the car and put one on right away. Insanity.
wow nice job going maskless solo in the store I havent done that yet. My wife does the shopping now. I havent bern inside a store since June.
Thank you!
My unfortunate experience with this came with the guy who delivers Schwan's products to my home. He's been wearing a mask for months and I've told him before he doesn't have to at my home, especially as I live way out in the country and you can't see the front of my house from the nearest road. This past Monday he showed up once again with his mask and I told him he doesn't have to wear it here. He said a lot of people tell him that, but that the corporate office sends guys out to spy on the drivers to make sure they wear masks and that he's been followed several times by guys with binoculars. He then committed the 'unpardonable sin' of telling me he wears the mask for me. Maybe he was joking, but who can tell with the stupid mask and it hit me wrong because I hate the virtue signaling. My response was 'you're not wearing it on my account'. Fortunately by that time I had my groceries, so I thanked him and he left.
I've been buying from Schwan's for over 30 years and there are so many quality things I get from them that I can't get anywhere else. I'm trying to convince myself to boycott them, but I'm not making much progress on that score.
it sucks that these companies are doing this to their employees. There is one guy on the crew that stopped wearing his mask a while back, but when his boss the owner is there, he has it on.
I guess the owners are worried about getting sued. Even just telling people helps, the more people that do this the more uncomfortable the mask becomes
Thanks for saying that telling people helps because it makes the mask feel more uncomfortable. I agree and hadn't thought of that. I have made it a practice to tell parents how glad I am to see that neither they nor their kids are wearing masks.
Damn I loved the Schwans man I didn’t know they were still around
For some reason they have the best frozen corn.yes corn
Just go to Aldi. Better quality, similar selection, and you save a boatload of money. Don't forget a couple empty bags and a quarter for the cart.
I live way out in the country and no Aldi here, but thanks for the tip.
Just yesterday I told my uber driver he could take his mask off. He said he would keep it on so he doesn't get in trouble, but said I could take mine off. I thought that was a small progress.
that is definitely progress. nice job.
I work sometimes at retailer where I’m expected to wear a mask (city ordinance). We take them off between clients, honestly, but sometimes a customer approaches apologizing for not having one on. I tell them to please not put one on for my benefit, that they are not obligated even when I am.
nice job. It sucks if all the people that didn't want to wear them stopped, it would be over. I believe it is the minority of people that like them and think they are beneficial.
Nobody has worn a mask when coming to my house. :( Shoe covers, yes. No masks. Ha!
yes they did wear shoe covers today.
I like it lets start the trend.
North Georgia here. Went into a restaurant that was at full capacity and the roar of everyone having drinks and conversation and delicious food. I saw maybe three masks in total. Almost made me tear up.
I need to get the hell out of NC.
Each time I go to the store, I see fewer masks, though they are technically still mandated. Last night it was probably only about 50%. Beautiful sight to behold.
A good alternate is a cotton bandana. Fold it in half, tie it around your head, leaving the pointy end free in the front of the face. You have a covering, but can still breathe great.
In the past they have found that surgeons that wear a mask for long surgeries were getting hypoxic. Can you imagine the surgeon's brain is not getting enough oxygen? What are the consequences for his skill and thinking during surgery?
Also, many people do jobs that require a lot of energy. They need to breathe. Even jobs that don't require a lot of energy- people need to breathe!
It's uncomfortable and stupid.
I have just read that they are saying a 4 month old baby can wear a mask. What about SIDS? All these mask rules are NOT based on science/reality.
STOP THE MADNESS!!!
you are correct, this is not sciemce. There are no true studies of mask efficacy in public.
Had an electrician come by with an assistant a couple of weeks ago to do some work on the house. Told them they didn't have to wear a mask. I've never seen someone wrip a mask off their face so fast ?
That is what its about, us showing others we respect them and dont want them dealing with this mask bullshit.
reminds me of the movie What about Bob. Just watched that with my middle son the other night.
I was just at a Central Florida post office and the man working the window had a mask that said "I just wear this mask so I don't get fired". I told him that I liked his mask and he smiled. I didn't wear a mask at Publix 2 days ago and finally saw someone else (college-age man) not wearing one. Restaurants are taking down the signs. It's only the big corporations that still have the signs up.
wish I lived in Florida. NC is still getting fucked. Schools all ipening full time with masks as they indoctrinate our kids.
I'm a contractor. And me and my guys never wear masks. Only in hallways of condos during service calls
I’m in the same situation.
My flooring contractor never showed up with one from the get go and I made a point to shake his hand whenever he came and left. No one at our local post offices wears one.
My wife and I were at walmart today with no mask, saw probably 4 people take their masks off after seeing us. Lead by example.
Nice Job!
Good work patriot!
That's awesome! I don't wear one, and I told my hubby everytime I go into the food store I see more people not wearing them (the store has no problems with it, all very friendly). So last night I went in for some things, and it would have been easier to count how many had them on than didn't. That's progress! Woohoo!
Should start a new catch phrase, lol. Who's got a catchy phrase to share?
~ Go Maskless or Go Home!
~ Remove Your Mask or Don't Come Back!
If I hear “Do you have a mask honey?” one more time from the clerk at the bank I may rob her!
Good for you. I do the same with Comcast or whoever. No one wears a mask except one jackass. Funny how the mask tard was a no-humor rigid pos sack of a human
the mask tard is likely either scared as shit or a virtue signalling libtard.
libtard! libtards are never funny!
All this fake-woke just made me realize that bullying is an important part of humanity!
