Dallas is a total shithole. Made a rescue mission last November to get my daughter and grandson out of there. Hadnt been since 2014, and wow! If I never have to go back there again, it will be too soon.
I was once doing a concert in Deep Ellum (used to be the cool part of Dallas -- those days are long gone). After the show, an older couple from out of town asked me what there is to do in Dallas for fun. I smiled at them and told them to go to Fort Worth.
I'm from the midcities, but still in Dallas County. We've always driven the extra 15 miles to go into Fort Worth instead of Dallas. You run into very few homeless people, the streets are clean, and there is good, clean entertainment at night, instead of the trashy nightclubs in Dallas. I am a bit biased though, because I'm a honky-tonk kinda guy, and those are few and far between in Dallas.
Theres SO much more to Fort Worth than the honky tonk in the stockyards area....Sundance Square is full of great bars, shops, restuarants, and entertainment spots
At least one Texas woman bucked this crap— as I stated earlier in a different reply—- most of humanity has always been subservient and easily controlled— there have always been a few great MEN (I’m a woman— and acknowledge it’s always men or if a woman beyond Joan of Arc who feigned manhood) that fight for all of us and have the strength and fortitude to rally young men as an army — this is how nations are made and broken — my sadness and hope comes from how so much has been manipulated to the fancy and wealth of the puppet masters and how through the Grace Of GOD we can and shall prevail WWG1WGA!!
People are missing the point here. This is not about the police or government overreach. This is about a priest on a power trip. They were wrong on a point in the law. The owner of the building does not have to be the one to claim trespassing. ANY representative of the owner can ask you to leave and then call the police and its trespassing.
The solution here is simple... everyone needs to stop going to this church. the priests and people running the church are the ones at fault here.
The husband hit on the one absolute truth... Churches are supposed to be a place you seek sanctuary from this sort of tyranny yet these priests are the tyrants.
I'm an atheist BTW and IMHO these priests are evil. They have no compassion in their heart. For them its about power.
It's actually EVERYWHERE. Even though masks are Not mandated in TX, they still require them everywhere. It's one thing to ask people to wear a mask, but why call the police? It's so out of hand. It's never going to end.
I'm in GA and while plenty of people wear them I went to Walmart without one and no one said anything to me. Probably 10% of the people in the building were maskless. Then again I guess this was in Dallas and its like Atlanta the closer you get tot he center of town the more liberal it gets. I'm out in the burbs in Atlanta so far more sane people here than just 10 miles west of me.
The insane part of this is a church victimized a member. I can't even comprehend that. I thought the whole point of modern Christianity was spreading Jesus's love. This was pretty much the opposite.
I think that is true with most priest/pastors etc, but this incident just highlights the truth... leftist thinking has infected the minds of a solid number of priests. Look at the current pope. He's basically a communist.
It it 2-3% or is it 10-20%??? Hard to tell, but various churches need to get a better handle on this or it will destroy them from the inside.
We had the power bullshit, mask mandate for over a year (and by the way lots of local businesses and chains still trying to enforce it forever), our border is wide open pouring in replacements, we’ve had several violent incidents with a cop shooter in Mexia and the Asian beauty store owner getting beat up. Definitely not a good look as of late. Will probably turn blue due to fraud and the pussificiation/replacement of Texans in 2024.
I was driving behind someone the other day that had these big stickers in their back window that said Texas Democrat. I wanted to honk my horn at them. Why would you want to advertise your stupidity to others? The Beto stickers were so annoying. We better NOT go blue.
Not surprised this was a heavily Novus Ordo church. They've thrown themselves in with the new world order at this point and I avoid them at all costs. Latin or other traditional masses are the only way to go anymore. My hometown Novus Ordo church, which I used to love dearly because I grew up with it, has become a heavily authoritarian place. You can only sit in every 3rd row, they heavily sanitize the pews with strong alcohol ripping the varnish off the wood forever ruining them, you must "sign up" for mass beforehand and even then it's limited to like 30 people even though it can hold hundreds, you must also "sign up" for confession which completely negates the anonymous nature of confession, NO Eucharist on the tongue, NO singing, you MUST wear a mask at all times, etc.
The last time I went to mass there was in July 2020 and I can't bear to go back. I, my mom, and 2 of my brothers attended mass at that time, and all of us but 1 of my brothers wore a mask. He snuck into mass after it had started and sat next to us, hoping he wouldn't be noticed, but one of the female (ugh) ushers immediately approached him and said he had to wear a mask or leave right away. My brother can't stand to wear masks, he has some legit reasons he can't wear them, so he just left instead of causing a scene. Since their treatment of him and my family I've completely avoided them and it makes me sad that my childhood church has gone down this path, but if that's what they truly choose then so be it. They'll get no more of our money.
I couldn't believe in that video what they said about that church in FL that designates where you can sit based on if you've had the shot or not. It is so ridiculous. Masks are a joke. I volunteered with my daughter for kids that were going to have their first confession. There was this one kid only wearing the face shield. Even though the church has stated those are not allowed, it wasn't enforced with him. So technically, that is NOT wearing a mask. We're Never going to be free from this craziness.
Florida is the new Texas. Texas has fallen, it seems. In our town, mask wearing is not the norm. It disturbs me to see people with masks. It makes me shudder to see hospital staff on the side of the road with an Easter Bunny sign in one hand and a "Get Your Covid Vaccine Here" in another. Yes, that happened, and I was not very Christ-like as I passed them. But they are killing people. At the soccer field yesterday as well, the only two individuals wearing masks were an elderly couple sitting in the sun watching the game. My question to their family was "Why don't you just put them in the garage, close the door, and turn on the car? You'll kill them quicker." Harsh truth.
But God bless this woman and her family. She has the heart of Christ. She is still praying for the church.
I've come to the conclusion that it is up to us to turn the tide. We must call out the mask wearers for exactly what they are doing: they are enabling those who should have no power over us to usurp authority.
Your response was perfectly said. Once they take our freedoms, they will never give them back. Even if you show proof that masks don't work, it doesn't matter. I was in line for confession yesterday and since we had to line outside because it was so long, I took off my mask & was so happy to be able to breathe fresh air. I told the guy in front of me that they don't work. Then I said I am never getting the shot. He said you have to have it for international travel. I just said, I guess I won't travel. I have been speaking up more and more and it feels good. Now that it is getting hot, it is becoming more annoying to put up with this much longer.
The catholic church in the gay part of Dallas. Of course they're terrified of the common cold. Also, the pope himself is terrified of the common cold.
That being said, my analysis will stay consistent, whether any of you like it or not.
This is a private establishment. If they ask you to leave for ANY reason, you MUST leave or you are trespassing. This law is not new to COVID, and has been around for a very long time. I agree that it is a stupid reason to ask someone to leave, but the law is the law. A friend in mine in highschool was asked to leave by the principal and again by a police officer for eminating ... disturbing smells. Fortunately, he listened to the officer who advised him that he could come back after he fixed his issue (he left an old lunch in his backpack, in the car, over the weekend, during September in Texas -- for any of you who were wondering) but if he didn't, he'd be arrested for trespassing.
Tl;dr: If you're asked to leave, leave. If you don't like it, worship elsewhere.
As I am a practicing Catholic, my dear friend and neighbor was concerned about offending me whenever corruption in the Church came up. Like you, Franscioni77, she could not imagine why my husband and I did not leave the Catholic Church. I told her that I would no sooner leave my church due to corruption of some members and leaders than she would leave the United States of America due to corruption of some members/leaders. Why do you think the Free Masons have worked for so long to infiltrate and bring down the Catholic Church? Perhaps because it is Christ's church on earth, and the devil vowed to destroy it. I accept that there have been bad popes, cardinals, bishops, priests, other religious, deacons, and laity. But there are also good people in all those roles. The Catholic Church may have been involved in a lot of evil, but it has also been involved in a lot of good. Most people who hate the Catholic Church hate what they think it is or stands for, not what it actually is. Catholics DO commit their lives to Christ, same as members of other Christian religions.
Agree to disagree. If we are all trying to live as Jesus taught, then we have more in common than differences. May the Peace of Christ be with your spirit.
The Catholic Church is by and far the most corrupt organization on the planet and is responsible for more Christ follower deaths than any entity on the planet!
ahahahahahaha
The Freemasons are your proper target. You are so far off base, it is YOU who needs to be examined. The Catholic dogma is the truth and nothing but. Satan has worked very hard through the Freemasons to infiltrate the Catholic church.
The gates of hell will NOT prevail against the Church established by Jesus Christ himself.
Peter is the translation for the word ROCK.
His name was Simon Bar Jonah.
Jesus renamed him ROCK and said upon THIS ROCK, he would build his church.
The Freemasons HATE the Pope and the Papacy.
What the hell is the Bible worth if each man is free to interpret the Bible in his own way? That's literally insane.
Absolutely out of touch with reality and out of your league.
Yeah no shit. Education and media are controlled by the Masons. Ask Muslims who the #1 target of Freemasonry is. They know its the Catholic church first. Just you, summer child, child of Freemasonic enlightenment, who points an ignorant finger at the Holy Roman Catholic Church.
Laughable!

This is beyond stupid

I didn't bother reading all this. There is no point to BASH Catholicism. You Obviously Don't know what you're talking about.
I read what you said about what you thought of Catholics needing their head examined... that comment was unnecessary and ridiculous.
