I’ve always looked for a good metaphor to explain this to people, and you hit it right on the head.

If I’m not going to give up on America, I’m definitely not going to give up on the Church.

If there was a reason to get married in the first place, then there's a reason to stay together. Marriages don't deteriorate because some magical force has left the household, it's because one or both of the members have given up on the core tenants of marriage.

Love is a decision, not a feeling.

"Cancel culture" is different from cancelling Disney+.

Cancel culture states that I, as a consumer, should not be held responsible for the things I consume. If I don't like something in a game, movie, or TV show, the creators are held responsible and should change their product so that I can continue mindlessly consuming.

Cancelling a service states that I, as a consumer, am responsible for the things I consume. If I don't like something in a game, movie, or TV show, I am held responsible for consuming it and need to make the decision to no longer consume that product until it becomes something I like.

I don't really care HOW they're acting if they continue to do things that negatively impact Americans.

I mean, if we end up with gun laws and mandatory vaccines, who gives a shit how scared they are?

Because the Catholic Church has been riding down the slide of communist infiltration since Vatican II

Everyone loves to complain about datefags, but the reality is that something has to happen at some point, or nothing is going to happen.

Or are you going to continue to wait for a tomorrow that never comes?

The massive FDR over the fireplace is definitely part of the problem.

It boils down to whether or not you believe the election was frauded to the point that it overturned the results. If you do, then there's no point in discussing 2024. If you don't, then sure, get those door-to-door volunteers out there and hope for the best.

Yup. I can only hear so much about "optics" before it starts becoming grasping at straws.

The answer is, no, if you lose access to the sacraments and it’s outside of your control, you will not go to hell.

That’s inaccurately legalistic interpretation of the sacraments to accuse them of being legalistic.

We call that a “straw man”

Look at the screenshot. It says "Tweet your reply" and shows Ted Cruz's avatar. The only person who could have taken that screenshot is the person logged into Ted Cruz's Twitter account.

They've already proven that guy is a Korean-America secret service member. This is super larpy.

Right, because no Americans fought in the revolution. It was all the French.

I know a decent amount of vets, and all of them are very blasé about what is going on right now. I'm convinced the hero worship of the US military coming out of Vietnam has fooled a lot of Americans into thinking the military is looking out for them.
