Move to eastern Oregon. It's better and you can still have a positive effect on the state. It's important people don't give up on their own homes and work to make them better.
I like Eastern Oregon and have some shooting buddies that live there. Thing is, I can get 2 acres and a 2000 sq/ft home in Tennessee for what a 1600 sq/ft manufactured home on a 1/2 acre would cost in Eastern Oregon. Being retired military there's a LOT of large bases within a short drive of where I'm looking. Also looking at Texas and Idaho but Idaho is starting to get Californicated.
What is your opinion on Lake Watauga and Elizabethton? I've been looking on Zillow and various realtor sites. Both seem like nice places. My Wife needs a Catholic Church and there is one in Elizabethton. The climate also seems very similar to the Willamette Valley in Oregon. A little colder in Winter but less rain.
You don't have to leave state to avoid that. You can move to another city and continue to try to work on making your state great. Besides, there's not guarantee someone won't be bought out or 'placed' wherever else you go. May as well stay with the ones you love in the area you are familiar with and make changes there. That would be way more helpful.
Yea same here. NJ is a lost cause. Hey, for those of you in Tennessee, don't worry. I don't vote for lame ass, chicken shit RINOs or dems. I go through a lengthy investigation process before voting. Which...is why I barely vote for anyone in Jersey. God damn is alot of our politicians sketchy.
Yep. Moving to the smaller towns is the way to go. Moved here from northwest Indiana in 1985. Two hours west of Nashville. Much friendlier people and yes, lots of preppers lol
Tennessee pede here. Love my state. It has its problems here in Nasville, but I wouldn't live anywhere else. I had the pleasure of listening to Candace Owens on a morning talk show, who just recently made the move to the Volunteer State. All patriots welcome.
Ohhh - so that explains the echoing "Reeeeee" sound I heard recently... it was the reaction of all the woketards in Nashville to the Constitutional Carry passing...
All y'all are welcome. Lets keep the burbs/rural areas red and I can tell ya the libs in Nashville need some work. Just passed a 34% property tax increase. The Mayor is an Idiot.
It's amazing to me that we even have to pass laws to make something constitutional that has been clearly enumerated already in the U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights. Shouldn't open and closed carry be normal?
For those of you on the fence about moving. I live in east TN in a valley between about 5 mountains.
People here are old school. We don’t talk like you because the mountain ranges cut us off from a lot of the interaction back when language was evolving. People from VA and W VA will understand what I mean. But a lot of people like the Appalachian accent lol
You’ll meet some of the friendliest people here. People do like to get bloody every now and then but only for a good reason and then we shake hands when it’s over.
Don’t be surprised if you meet some girl with freckles who is always barefoot and teaches you where to find ginseng plants lol
We can smell when it’s going to rain and can tell you what sound any animal makes. Right now they have a lot of tourists believing that Tennessee has feral cannibals living in the mountains. It’s just stories made up by moonshiners to keep their stills safe. They’re posting videos about hearing women scream in the woods, but it’s most likely they went on vacation in Pigeon Forge and happened to hear a Bobcat.
I highly recommend at least visiting for a year or two. Mountain living can teach you quite a bit that you wouldn’t expect. It’s a beautiful place with beautiful people and you pedes are welcome ?
HECK YEAH!!!! I’m off to Rural King to buy a new fishin pole! I’m seriously going tomorrow. I was JUST asking my neighbor today about the status, I knew last week it was in the Senate. Awesome news!
Tennessee is in my list of 3 states to move to when I retire. 8.5 years and I'm qhosting this shithole called the peoples republic of oregon.

Yes. Idaho is cool but there’s that proximity issue. Texas is great but dang it’s HOT. I settled on a lake in Eastern TN.

I settled South of Knoxville, but anywhere near Johnson City is wonderful IMO? I would be close to Church for your wife, but that’s just my thought.
Just looked on Zillow and that area is close to where I was looking. Thanks for the advice!
We are glad to have ya.
Spent my Summers on Dale Hollow as a child ?
So is Texas, especially Austin. It's Silicon Valley 2.0 and bringing the silicon Valley people and their ban happy votes
Isn't that going to become a part of Idaho?
Heard some would like that, but doesn't mean it will happen. Time will tell. Now some in Mn want to join South Dakota, too.
Also, no state income tax AND we always have a balanced budget. It's how a free state SHOULD be run.
I'm considering moving there next year when the oldest graduates.
Just work to make wherever you are better.
When the shit hits the fan, do you really wanna be in a district with a soros placed DA?

I just did it. C’MON MAN!

That has to be where I’m from lol Eastern TN, by chance?
Yep. Moving to the smaller towns is the way to go. Moved here from northwest Indiana in 1985. Two hours west of Nashville. Much friendlier people and yes, lots of preppers lol
Damn I need to move there yesterday!
Nah, just work to do it wherever you are.

No recessions in TN, just home value moon rockets
Ain't that the truth. I've got a house on 15 acres. Will entertain any offers north of $5,000,000 ?
Depending on how close to Nashville you are, all you have to do is hold it for a couple years and you'll get that.
Northeast TN. Wish I was further from Nashville.
Gonna pull my 1911 out of storage and my SOB holster.
My aim isn’t good enough for single stack mags. Gotta go with my SD9 lol With 15+1 I’m bound to hit at least one
At least you are honest with your aiming
Welcome to the club. Ky and Tennessee share this in common. Nice to know we can cross state lines without fear of jail.
Come on Texas!!
Tennessee, Tennessee,
There ain't no place I'd rather be.
Baby, won't you carry me.
Back to Tennessee!
I love my red flag and my red state. So proud to be a Tri-Star
I like your name
Thank you
Rich man step on my poor head
...When ya get back you better butter my bread.
Thanks, my fren
Ohhh - so that explains the echoing "Reeeeee" sound I heard recently... it was the reaction of all the woketards in Nashville to the Constitutional Carry passing...
Thank goodness. What crime, BLM and Antifa run from this state.
Not that much actually, and I'm sure it will be even less with this bill passing.
Just one of the many reasons why I love living in Tennessee!!!!

Is he the clown that was on air laughing after that bom went off
No, we don't need little bubbles of red, we need people to stay and fight where they are or we'll lose half the country.
Cooper is a literal fucktard
That’s what we say about the Denver mayor, AND the CO Gov. we need a change bad.
You've had this right since 1776, friend.
Sweet. Needs to be in every state
I’m in a Florida, and as good as it is here, I’ve given great thought to heading up to Tenn
TN and FL are the greatest states in the union
I was going to go back to Florida but TN somewhat less crazy.
Sorry pedes, The vote was 64-29. Typo but it still passed
It's amazing to me that we even have to pass laws to make something constitutional that has been clearly enumerated already in the U.S. Constitution Bill of Rights. Shouldn't open and closed carry be normal?

Great comment...that “woman-scream sound” may be a bobcat...& maybe not? 😂👍🏽 (Heard it here too). I love the owls calling across the lake...
It’ll scare the shit out of you the first time you hear it 😂 It did me anyway. Camping as a little kid
