I've been thinking about this, what led to the rise of Zoom? The pandemic sure helped, but, why this platform in particular?
Skype seemed to be dominant prior to the pandemic. I would say Zoom's functionality is better for group meetings. Does this account for their rise, was it entirely organic?
Reminiscent of the rise of Facebook.
Also of note, it's conceivable that the CCP has access to their feeds.
Personal experience. Prior to the pandemic, on the somewhat uncommon occasions that my meetings required someone to video call, it was almost always done with Skype (the alternatives were Zoom and Google Hangouts). Early in the pandemic, Skype retained this, but it quickly flipped to everyone using Zoom. Found it rather bizarre how quickly everyone flipped, without any real reasoning given (perhaps the original meeting organizers had reasons in mind, granted, and everyone just followed along afterwards, like with masks).
Cabal money-laundering.
Anything that pops up overnight is suspect as fuck. One day I woke up and everybody was zoom this zoom that.
Felt lkme dark city the xity reareanging while I sleep
Also skype was purchased by Microsoft and Microsoft teams took its place
I did hear that it was easier to use than the alternatives. Now it's all anyone uses and nobody cares if "they" are spying on the meetings. If you think about it, it only takes one person in charge to insist on zoom for the domino effect to happen.
This is a very good point. When something happens rapidly, it’s never good
I have always been suspect about Zoom since the boom, i do use it for work by time, as i do with Teams, and Skype for Business when available (that i still prefer to be honest)
I farily think Zoom has been a black hat ops for multiple reasons, of which the tops are
Another zipper head capitalizing. God, if I could take half of these commie cunts out myself...
funny how these commies just so happen to really really love capitalism.
This is why opensource end-to-end encryption programs need support such as qTox and Jitsi. Any company that doesn't offer that has ulterior motives.
The Chinese company Zoom?
Them: "Nah, It'll be fine...."
