However, at the tropopause, the temperature remains constant at -56.5ºC (-69.7ºF). The height of the tropopause varies all the time but it is USUALLY around the 36,000 ft mark - depending on time of year and the latitude (higher near the equator than the poles).
I love it when I see one plane doing a contrail and another doing a chemtrail at roughly the same altitude. Also love it when they run out of aerosol and then turn around and go home and the trail stops dead.

Chemtrails. They've been noticeably absent in So Cal for many months and are starting to make a sporadic return. None in the clear blue sky today; though.
Every weds here in vegas they do 3 days, cloud ypmiur weekend, it clears by Sunday night and they do it again on wed.
There is a difference, one dissipates, the other billows out to make a clear day hazy. I noticed a short absence too.

How do you tell the difference between a contrail and a chemtrail?
The way it sticks in the sky without dissolving, but instead spreads out over the course of an hour to create an overcast, 'glazed' sky is a dead giveaway that it is not a natural contrail.
Makes a sort.of cotton fake looking cloud as it gains moisture.
How on earth, with all of the variables that could be present day to day at that altitude, can you be sure? It’s fuckin higher than the death zone on Everest. Think of the conditions up there, how extreme they are, and how different the extreme can be not just day to day, but hour to hour.
So many variables. So many. There is zero reason to assume jet contrails left at that altitude will behave equally over time.
