I have been so disappointed by this and have not found one good explanation. Job security? Empty souls and consciences? I have always respected the police and taught my kids they can be trusted. I know many police who are respectable and strong Christians with strong morals and ethics.

Police take orders like the military and everyone else. I'm a fireman, I am told to wear that stupid mask on calls, and am supposed to wear it in the engine, and on any city owned property. I follow some rules, disregard others. In the end, I still need a paycheck so I play the game as little as I feel I can to do so.
When I'm off work, I put all my efforts into supporting the cause!

I can't speak for all, but we didn't have to. We have our own "oath" to the citizens we serve.

I think we all need to take a hard look at ourselves. I wear a mask at work, though under my nose, because I need my job to support my family☹
i slowly stopped wearing mine at work (which was the only place i did to begin with). Just started skirting the rules. "Oops, forgot to wear it walking to the bathroom". Then, I stopped wearing it more and more. Eventually i stopped altogether and its been 2 months now, havnt worn a mask PERIOD.
I am afraid that the good men and women that are on the police force are leaving more and more often. They don't want to partake in what's taking place. So you can very well guess that those that are being replaced by the good guys are those that would fit The Narrative of the Nazis that followed the orders of Hitler. There are many good cops out there, but many of them are starting to be replaced with very bad ones.

Some police are pension whores. Some of them are the ones who passed the psych screening for compliant soldiers. Some buy into the narrative. Some have been compromised into obedience.
Because they are servants of the state and always have been. Just because some are decent doesn't mean we should expect anything other than what we see seeing. Sheriffs are the most likely to be based as the head sheriff is elected. Police are much less likely to be based in my experience and I have not been surprised one bit by their conduct.

Some would experience blackmail from small things to serious things. In today's attack culture, no one would put their lives in the hands of an angry mob, even if they agree with that mob.
These days, job security is hanging by a thread. The lack of rules we are experiencing are also imposed on Police Officers, Government Workers and some Politicians, all individually.
No matter who you are, no matter what your position, if you are alone and under attack it will be daunting. Unless those trapped feel a way to have support, even if they have made mistakes, they have no way out of the Trap they are in.
Cops generally suck balls. They enforce quotas entrap people, and lie almost always. If they don't follow your governments wishes they get replaced. They are not loyal to you or your community.
I'm thinking since they are not allowed to address actual crimes anymore, they need something to do.
In Los Angeles I haven't seen LAPD or the Sheriff's Dept. enforce any mask mandates. Closing down restaurants is something else; though : (

Honestly I think the vast majority are not, but like with everything else they want us to believe it. They called off certain people on January 6th, and kept the ones they knew they could "trust". I think it happens alot of places when they know something will have big coverage. Call in the dirty squad to shit on the name of all cops, cameras are going to be rolling. I still have yet to meet a cop like any of the ones I see on videos, most do not even wear masks. Its bulletin and more brainwashing imo.

Same reason why millions of 'scientists" haven't spoken out against draconian lockdowns.
