My daughter went to the grocery store without her mask today for the first time. She said it felt like breaking out of prison.
? DEM PANIC ?
We all reach that precipice at different times. Fear of being confronted while with small children held her back. But that's where my continued nudging slowly worked. Taking a stand and fighting back is how we all will ensure that our children and grandchildren have a free country to grow up in.
I should also clarify that this is in PA where most of the idiots wear masks outside. So this is a big deal.
Maskers are dumbasses anyway. I watched a lady walk up to the taco truck the other day with a mask on. She was standing there for a minute or so before she proceeded to sneeze -- not once, but twice -- and she pulled her mask down to do so. Then she put it back up over her face and continued on like nothing was wrong.
COVIDIOTS.
The level of trashed masks is increasing-somehow leaving it where it fell and NO biohazard disposal near lets you know the education was very lacking.. but, that's just me seeing the same amount of cigarette trash, too..
Still say that's better than here in Korea where they sneeze into the mask and just keep wearing it for the rest of the day. Disgusting!
That...is... DISGUSTING! ?
My husband and I went to the mall this weekend and didn’t wear our masks. No one said a word! It was liberating.
We took friends out for dinner tonight. They always wear masks, but don't WANT to. We told them just skip the masks and watch what happens. Most people didn't have one and no one said a word. They were shocked at how easy it was to just not wear a mask. (California)
I was out with my dad weekend before last just running around town. First place we went he wore his in and told me he wouldn't do that if he was me when I told him I wasn't wearing one into Lowes. Went to a trailer lot after and he took his off once guys inside didn't say anything to me there. Dropped by an indoor flea market after and this time he didn't wear one in. It was amazing to see. Nobody realizes just how many of us there really are that are still wearing that bullshit because they feel alone
My whole familyused to put some distance between them and me in stores because they didn’t like people looking at my my beautiful mask less face. That eventually wore off. Now they’re on board. We’re one of those massless families Some people don’t care but many take evasive maneuvers to avoid us. But absolutely no one confronts us. My daughter recently went back to school and was pretty proud to tell me how she took off her mask in many instances and didn’t get called out by anyone.
Good for her! I see people wearing them incorrectly, so I don't even bother wearing mine at all. This is pathetic.
My son said tonight that he was just DONE with masks, because he already had the Rona so wearing a mask is just stupid. This from the guy who would even wear a mask in the house if we had friends over.
I haven't worn one this whole past year, and was really happy to hear him ditch masks.
I don't wear one any more. Yesterday: Ace Hardware - all the young employees had theirs on their chins when I walked in. If they saw someone wearing a mask, they'd pull theirs up. They left them down with me.
At Publix, I had a couple and a Karen take evasive maneuvers to get or stay away from me. Walked right past two managers who totally ignored me. I was the ONLY one in the entire busy store without a mask. And this is the nearest Publix to a really red rural area. Last time I went in, there were 2 of us. People are SO scared right now!
That's good news! :)
So many idiots in PA. I can confirm this. Just yesterday, saw my neighbors from the other street taking their daily stroll with a mask on.
Let alone indoors, there is absolutely no reason to wear a mask outside. It's fucking insane how dumb people are. The amount of viral dilution is so vast, it's highly improbable anyone will catch COVID let alone any virus while outdoors with air circulation.
Im in PA, can confirm. The blue areas are ridiculous, karens around every corner.
Excellent, you are a good parent to keep encouraging her until she broke out!
I am in PA and went into HD without a mask yesterday. First time I've done this and no one said anything.
Really shows you the power of social ostracism. In many places it's illegal not to wear a mask and people still don't wear them.
Actually wanting to wear one is one thing; whatever floats your boat. But wearing one due to peer pressure is true NPC behavior.
My other daughter is in Broward which is pretty blue. She still has to wear her mask at work teaching ballet classes because some kids will rat her out.
Indoor dining @ 100%, check. In person schools, check. Can shop in any business (even the ones still with signs) without wearing a mask, check. Much more than you can say for MI.
That sheeple still choose to mask up isn't on the Governor.
Cheers for your daughter. Most masks are pretty fail tbqh.
More power to her!
