Free speech absolutism is a ridiculous concept and you're kept on it's drip because it doesn't adequately describe what you mean and so get stuck in the mud when "free speech" or rather, the right to question, criticise and ridicule is being impinged on.
Please note that I am comparing the D-Party & commie activists to what the Nazis did. My family immigrated here from Germany when things were going crazy and the Nazis were gaining power. The stories they told me about 1930s Germany is very similar to what I see in 2020s USA, They also told me that policing in 1930, was very different than policing in 1935. Working cops in 1930 were elsewhere 5 years later. This might be oral history, but's it's history told by people who were there.
