Scoop Jackson wasn't too bad. FDR did a good job getting the country on a war footing to defeat the Nazis and the Japs.
FDR was a tyrant who made the Great Depression far worse than it needed to be. He also abused Americans who happened to be of Japanese decent.
When you learn about him he’s not the saint our Dem public school systems made him out to be.
The public school curriculum conveniently leaves out the fact that F.D.R. was the one who ordered Japanese imprisonment. They just refer to it as "Executive Order ####", without making a reference to the president who wrote it.
Pearl Harbor was a FF to get the US into the war. FDR most likely knew it was coming at some point. All the aircraft carriers had been moved just prior and it was the old WW1 battleships that were lost. All wars are planned.
Yes! And I don't buy the "twin towers were rigged with explosives" theory, but do believe U.S. Government knew some kind of attack involving jets was imminent. I still don't believe they could be so callous as to know it would involve an attack that killed thousands, but I certainly wouldn't put it past them.
Just remember, if you were in college anytime during or after the Viet Nam war, most college professors were anti-American including revisionist history and curricula. You'd be hard pressed to find anything America did correctly. The only thing they liked was the hard turn to the left. But even now you can't be leftist enough.
Were you against the Lend Lease program that allowed us to supply the Soviets with planes and arms to fight Germany in the east? Had Russia not been successful, Hitler would have had far more men and materials to march right through England. Had that happened we would all be speaking German right now.

Besides his assassination, what makes JFK so great? He was part of the same party that opposed Reconstruction, instituted Jim Crow laws, and is responsible for the bullshit we're dealing with now. I've never understood why he's been put on a pedestal.

Lol what about what I said was remotely false? Dems DID oppose Post-Civil War Reconstruction and held southern blacks hostage with disenfranchisement. When their Jim Crow laws and opposition to the Civil Rights Movement failed they used LBJ's policies to further cripple the demographic.
JFK's policies were reasonably moderate iirc but he took unnecessary risks like escalating the Cuban Missile Crisis that could have triggered a hot war with Russia. He died because he played chicken with the C_A and lost. Dems have been trying to kill this country at least since our Civil War, most notably from president WW forward, and as a certified Dem JFK was either at best guilty by association or at worst in on the whole damn thing. Which is why as per my original point I'm curious why JFK gets such a circlejerk on here.
