My friend's 12 yr-old niece is in a hospital in Brooklyn being treated for covid-19. Last night they intubated her. I just found out about it this evening and sent him all of the information that I found from this site regarding the treatment packs in India and contact information for the frontlinedoctors web-site. He is in contact with them and God willing, will be able to demand the appropriate treatment for her using the right to try law.
I cannot believe that we are over a year into this and the friggin' doctors STILL are not using the proper treatments.
What else can I do to help my friend help his family?
Any advice is welcome but most of all my sincere thanks to everybody who has posted such helpful information.
Update 4/25/21: Just found out from my friend that the doctor is saying the girl will need to be on a vent until at least Friday. To make matters even worse, she's at Elmhurst hospital where they were literally picking off patients. I am so heartsick for him and his family and fear that this will end badly.
Covid 19 is not deadly to children unless they are seriously unhealthy. I am not sure what you mean by intubated her but I am assuming you mean a ventilator and that should never be used. The child should not have more than some invermectin vitamin D and C and Zinc. I am praying your niece will be ok. Please tell this family the child should never be on a respirator that is really bad.
Intubating is how you get the respirator in the lungs it requires heavy sedatives... hi-flow O2 machine would work if they can get stable...
HCQ must be given in the initial stages of the viral process, Sounds like she is past that point. I haven't heard much about administering Ivermectin. Not sure if it needs to be given early like HCQ. Large doses of intravenous vitamin C is always a option. Steroids work as well, Dexamethasone. Remdesivir is what they use most of the time. I'm not sold on it. They say it reduces the length of stay at the hospital by aprox 12 hours when comparing patients who do not take it. I think zinc and Vitamin D is best when used prophylactically but it would not hurt to try it.
I agree with most of that. HCQ must be given early or it's useless. Ivermectin shows some promise a couple of days later but not too late. Vitamin D3 is useless unless it's been taken during at least the 3 weeks prior. For immediate treatment they must use the vitamin D derivative whose name I forget. Cholecalciferol, I think. Remdesivir is next to useless, producing results no better than chance (despite its cost). As for steroids, the one that asthma sufferers inhale (Budesonide?) is the most effective.
Was your friend's 12 year old seriously sick or was she hospitalized because she tested positive to the COIVD sniffles?
Do you know if she was having trouble breathing, or was she intubated needlessly / to increase the cost of the hospital visit?
It's strange that a 12 year old would catch COVID or even care about it.
A bowl of chicken soup cures everyone of the COVID sniffles unless they are older than 70 or have a failed immune system.
Please remind your friend that his daughter SHOULD NOT get the COVID inoculation because she doesn't need it anymore. Hospital staff may try to turn the little girl into a GMO to make more money from the government.
As far as I know, she did not have any health issues. She was allegedly diagnosed with covid-19. On Friday evening she started having trouble breathing and that's when all hell broke loose. Knowing what we all know about covid, I am praying for the best but expecting the worst at this point.
Sending prayers. Somebody had to give permission for a child to be put on a ventilator and that's the only person to serve as advocate now.
Most doctors are not using intubation or ventilators now to treat Covid. I can't understand doing that to a child when that's considered a last resort. Praying for your niece's recovery.
I'm pretty sure that her mother gave her permission. There is so much fear porn out there and not many that are aware of the treatments that are available. To compound the situation, this is all occurring in NY (Brooklyn area I think) which might as well be the gas chamber.
What makes matters even worse is my friend's English is difficult to understand and as far as I know, he speaks the best English out of his family so who knows what has been properly communicated.
You are great person. What you can do is be there for your friend as they might try to fight the proper treatment tooth and nail.
Be firm and consistent.
The respirator is used when blood oxygen levels are too low. But COVID causes micro clotting in the lungs which requires an anticoagulant/blood thinner to resolve so the oxygen can transfer from the lungs to the blood.
Right but they usually are reluctant to resort to that with young patients. Even with adult patients they are reluctant to do so.
It is a drastic step and unless we are missing information from the story from the opening post of the thread it is hard to determine why they took such a drastic step. Was it many weeks or not even a week?
My relative used a hi glow oxygen machine , it was really lucky , drs wanted to intubate, he would not have suvived, 10 minutes on the hi flow he stabilized
Th only thing left for you to do is pray.
Get a lawyer. Ventilation is medical malpractice.
Thank you. I have already advised my friend that he will need a lawyer.
I wonder what she is really sick with since it's been proven Covid is fraud.
Me too.
