If you look at the video of daddy B’s funeral and the amount of time Jeb looks at the contents of the envelope before reacting (with obvious horror), Laura immediately looking shaken, it would have to be a photo, but one that would give them immediate, visceral terror. This photo wouldn’t do that.
I’m thinking it had more to do with one or more of the Bush demons in the act, perhaps ritualistic, of something horrific where they never expected to be caught on camera.
