I am a high school teacher (love my students and my job is a calling) and I cannot begin to tell you of the damage this lockdown has done to students. Many many are under psychological care, or just flat out struggling. This entire situation is devised to destroy.
I will fight back forever--first in prayer and then with whatever it takes.
PS -- I work at a charter and I am AGAINST unions.
My daughter in law became principal of a semi rural jr high at the onset of this crap-mask restrictions were rescinded in March but the teachers ( not parents or students) were her problem- we’re in Texas and she’s spent more time placating the crazy teachers and trying to get the kids back into classroom— it’s going to be a bitch for 2-3 years in my opinion ( served on school board in west Texas years ago) — parents can be stupid but they want their kids in school- teachers can also be stupid and there’s the problem— thank God there’s no union here!!
I only know one teacher personally these days. One of my golf buddies married her three or four years ago. She is the looniest lefty I have ever met and she has turned our friend into a soyboy cuckold who we avoid when we can and ridicule when we cant.
I have deep respect for those called to instruct our youth. When done right it is God's work. But I do not think many in the profession these days are called. A lot of these people just think "summers off" when choosing their profession.
Lol - I know em too... I came to teaching late in life - my first day was after I was 40. I took a pay cut leaving my last job to teach. I personally put enough time in during the school year to equal full time hours over the summer. That doesn’t take into account I needed a second job to be a teacher (pay cut). God called me into teaching, and has blessed me greatly.
The problem is these teachers unions have been brainwashing these teachers for so long it’s gonna take a lot of honest education to get them back to normal.
The biggest thing I've noticed here in Korea (that never really had a lockdown, but fully embraced the online teaching thing) is how many overweight and obese students there are now. When I first arrived here 5 years ago, it was very odd to see a fat kid, now I have several in every class. They just stay home all day, every day. parents don't let play outside anymore.
Thank you for the information--I may do that. Change has to happen in all areas--not simply politics but education as well.
I urge everyone to get involved with their local school board. Here in California indoctrination is occuring at the kindergarten level...we need everyone to speak up.
Agree. Those that committed crimes need to face justice. If found in any of their communications they knowingly committed these crimes, then try, convict, and punish with life/death for High Treason against America.
Hopefully, the Heads of the Teacher’s Union and all those complicit will receive prison time. The children have been injured emotionally, physically and socially as a result of the callous attitude of these union leaders and complicit teachers. It never was about what was best for the children, they considered them as expendable as trash. It was about furthering financial rewards given to them to do their bidding and about some teachers who wanted to remain home. Health care professionals had no choice, teachers should have had zero choice-teaching in person is a necessity, not an option.

Middle school teacher here... not all teachers are bull heads. Sucks to see my profession defamed by this Back sides!

Okay, I'll do it! Anything for freedom and for the kids!
There needs to be RICO prosecutions, top to bottom.
Never again, this shit.
Amen ALL OF THEM must be exposed.

Wow. All this cash flow from one pot to the other and the taxpayers are the only ones that lose. It has to stop. We need to reform the system.
Union teachers didn’t want to work??? Not surprised at all!

Lazy assed leftists.
I wonder where the rats go when they jump ship?
Can someone tell me why the teachers unions would lobby for this? What benefit does it serve them?
