This has NOTHING to do with the great awakening or Q. This is a PAYtriot who is coin shilling and piggybacking on the movement, plain and simple. Take it to TDW
That's the part that rings false to me as well. So much anti bitcoin and generalised anti-cryptocurrency stuff from Trump over the last couple of days... but he is starting a crypto thing in secret?
Incidentally, decentralised social media has been done and is solved as a problem - enter the fediverse. Which is a pretty sound initial iteration of a technology piece, for which there will undoubtedly be successive generations as flaws are addressed, just as is the case with any new comms or software paradigm.
The tech itself isn't inherently scammy, blockchain is essentially a public ledger that is unchangeable. But I'm of the opinion almost all projects using it are scams.
RVP is not the first crypto based social media network.
The first one was STEEM, and it basically failed due to people abusing it for financial gain. Like RVP, people held out a lot of hope for it before finally conceding after a year or 2 that the tokenomics were hopelessly compromised.
I will withhold judgement on this until more information is released, but I remain to be convinced it is not STEEM 2.0 with better marketing.
Trump is right. Bitcoin, and cryptocurrency in general, are a scam IF you view it as an investment opportunity or get rich quick scheme. Using the word "scam" is hyperbole, but just know that it's value is all based on speculation; it's a gamble. Go open up a forex account if you wanna gamble with currency.
What makes cryptocurrency amazing is that it represents transactions of decentralized data -- blockchain. In a modern world where he who controls the data has the power, decentralizing the data levels the playing field.
Currency transactions on blockchain prevents central bank manipulation. Social media posts on block chain prevents mods from deleting/censuring posts. Elections run on blockchain can prevent votes from getting flipped. Lots of huge possibilities as the infrastructure goes mainstream.
Why are people upvoting this?
Use your critical thinking skills folks.

Yesterday Trump said bitcoin is a scam. Yet we think hes going to announce a partnership with a crypto? Come on guys
Maybe he really means just bitcoin, and not blockchain in general?
I guess possible but to 95%+ of people they are synonymous. My bet is he doesn't mean just bitcoin.
He has a history of supporting blockchain actually. He has appointed very pro crypto people to high up positions. Trump Jr. has also made statements.
Old article but this was back in 2017. He also mandated blockchain research for military.

And who can forget the infamous blockchain dress worn by Melania on election day. https://dailypatriotpost.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/melania-blockchain-1200x630-1024x538.png

Looks like it's lost a lot of value since May...
So, I still like to understand some of this and this helped.
Get ready Layman. I've got 300 dollarydoos riding on this one. If RVP doesn't 100x nothing will protect you from my downvote.

Well that did help my ignorant ass understand some things. Thanks.
The 8am announcement was that Facebook will be using it....
What's the link to the Telegram group?
