Define safe? Is driving a car safe? If yes, then yes. There's plenty of evidence to show they are HIGHLY unlikely to cause a lethal reaction. Like in the 'you're more likely to be struck by lightning' sense.

I'm just pointing out the facts. I'll never take it. I just see people on here falling for some pretty basic propaganda, and it bothers me because we're normally pretty good in sussing that out. I'd say half or more people on here think it's killing tens of thousands of people and thats just not backed up by the data right now.
