Single biggest problem is the unionization of government employees. Unions have a legitimate role to counter monopolistic abuse by employers, but have zero value to society when they organize against a representative community government. The police profession attracts community servants and law-and-order types, but also attracts sadists and tyrants. The unions prevent the bad ones from being weeded out, so they grow like a cancer and eventually take over.
I think we need a strong community militia as a check and balance to police. Any illegal detention of a citizen as displayed during COVID tyranny can be countered by direct militia intervention including but not limited to the release of said detainees as well as apprehension and custody of offending officer and superior.
We must become a counter-force that works in tandem with police but also not beholding to corrupt bureaucrats.
I’ve been thinking the same thing with the businesses. I’m not going to restaurants that were too very eager to flex their power trip, I’m also telling other restaurants about my personal boycotts and how much money I would spend there prior to leaving them.
I support the men in blue.. but their responsibility is to serve and protect.. SERVE the people and PROTECT their rights.. their oath is to that, and the constitution that gives the people they serve, the protection … not to enforce orders that take them away..

Our local police voted to get rid of the Union. It's a small town but they've only been unionized a short time.
