Pink Floyd member and founder Roger Waters has responded bluntly to Mark Zuckerberg's request to give Facebook the rights to the second part of the song Another Brick in the Wall for a "huge" sum of money to use in the company's film. Speaking at a forum in support of Julian Assange, Waters read out a letter from Zuckerberg and said: "My answer is: go fuck yourself! No way!»
The musician stressed that he would not participate in the" nonsense " proposed by Zuckerberg. Instagram Facebook and Instagram want to use it to make Facebook and Instagram even bigger and more powerful than they are, and to continue to censor all of us and prevent this story about Julian Assange from becoming public," the musician said.
He called Facebook founder Zuckerberg "one of the most powerful assholes in the world" and "a small-time scoundrel."
He is redeeming himself in his old age. Syd Barrett was the real founder of Pink Floyd, Roger just took the credit for everything and was generally disliked.
I have family members who aren't lefty's, still some of the biggest Floyd fans you'll ever meet - who'd KILL me for saying this but......... WATERS WILL BLOW TEN HOBOS TO GET THE JAB IF THAT IS WHAT IT TAKES. I just call it as I see it.
Not untrue, but I have noticed, but musicians are kind of funny (real ones, not pre-packaged Disney crap). They can be very left, but a lot of them have a seething hatred for big tech because they have been royally screwed over by streaming.
Of course Dave G is a fraud, always was slimy. They all were except Syd; he was the only one in the band who didn't care about $£$ or fame, only the music. Part of the reason he was pushed out.
I agree with all of the sentiment here ... but as a 35 year Floydphile, I can tell you Sid Barret (genius in his own right) went off the deep end. He truly did. RW loved him like a brother, but Sid went off the deep end, and RW, NM, RW had no real options when it came to Sid Barrett. He was coo-coo for cocoa puffs. He holed up and lived with his mother the rest of his adult life. Tragic. Truly tragic.
Syd Barrett is a footnote. Nothing more. sad what became of him, but he never had what it took to be great. Asshole or not, RW is a fuking Genius. No one would even know Syd Barrett were it not for them. Great defender of mediocrity. Genius is worthless if wasted on the feeble minded.
Except Syd Barrett was around when no one cared. Sure that was their start and all, young talent and all, and he was touched one allegedly ... but anything you hear today by them (all the hits) and Syd Barret was long gone before then.

He's a leftist with TDS... this is the first thing I've heard him say that wasn't retarded
Well said. Bet he's retarded enough to get vaxed.

So true.. sigh... Trump needs to stop shilling the vax
Combine what you both just said and that is Roger Waters - 100%.

Roger Waters is antisemitic to the core. His flying pigs with the star of David aren't just for kicks.
Socialist who sold his guitar collection for $21.5M...

At Delicate Sound of Thunder tour there were signs EVERYWHERE saying “Roger who”? Major fan here & loved Richard Wright (RIP).
meh... Roger Waters is friends with Patti Hearst, of all people, and both are tied to the Watermill Project, a Marina Abramovic Joint
