The way I look at it, people love different social media apps. They need one for images, one for videos, one for their life story, one for letting people know what is on your mind, and probably more now.
That is a lot of companies to replace. I wish people would live without it, but that won't happen.

Hopefully they're just fleshing out the issues (ie defending attacks) and coming up with a better name for the real platform.
