I agree. I think it was said solely to rile conservatives up. The way they are going to get out of this is saying "but it was just a metaphore. What we have meant was we are going to contact individuals in some way, maybe per e-mail" or something like that.

It may happen in New York, Chicago, or LA, blue strongholds. But if they try it pretty much anywhere else in the country even blue and purple areas there's going to be real issues and backlash.

Neither one is feasible in reality. The Dims say "they" are going to go door-to-door... but who are the "they" that would actually do it? In reality, nobody. Same for the capital police. Setting up offices in other parts of the country, where they have no jurisdiction whatsoever. It would serve no purpose.
