When I see these things happening, I really get this fantastic feeling throughout my body...And I'm Not even an American...but I'm a Patriot in every sense of the word...
America in a certain sense is an idea, which is why it can never die. The idea that no king, potentate, dictator, or faceless communist cabal can control the human spirit of liberty or the ability to speak one's mind is each human's birthright, and in this country we get to live it—thanks to the blood of patriots enriching our soil.
If you share in the idea that humans are born with the absolute right to chart their own destiny free of tyranny, you're part of the American dream of freedom. Welcome mate!
It's a land of sovereign men and woman who owe allegiance to God alone and who have combined for mutual benefit to a Constitution. One we must all sign on to ourselves and make our own.
I'm part Native American and I learned all about the warrior class and their Rites of Passage and their incredible courage and bravery. So it pisses me off when they act like sore losers. I'm sorry but they were fighting amongst each other and they would have eventually grown in size and infringed on each other's hunting territory enough to tear each other apart. The Spanish had already fucked up the minds of the Indigenous people long before we got here. That's where the friendly natives learned to skin people alive or slow roast them over The Embers.
Well break the news to them that that is all indigenous people did too: kill, pillage, rape, and conquer territories. Some tribes waltzed into abandoned areas and decided to stay, but indigenous people stole the land from each other constantly and before that they stole the land from the animals.
What matters is that we recognize that we are beyond tribal politics of whos land is whose because anyone can be from anywhere nowadays that they decide to put the time in and be a part of that community.
a. They weren't indigenous. They migrated here from Siberia and Canada because warmer climate is better. They came here because they didn't like living where they were. Same as we. They didn't hold title to the land.
b. They were warring tribes using this land as a battleground. We fought 'em for it fair and square and won. Now the tribes don't fight each other any more.

I didn't used to understand this, but I do now, I really do!
And THAT is what true, legal immigration is all about!
Beautifully said. Thank you.
When I try to use that argument all I get is "We got here by the tyranny we perpetrated on the indigenous people who lived here."

And we're not trying to erase their legacy, more states named after Indian names than not.
Hey down voters, don't let it hurt your ass. I'm not the one saying it, I'm the one hearing it.
