Sheriffs are the ONLY law enforcement that can override anyone in the state, to include Governors, Representative, Senators, etc. Sheriffs are elected by We the People, not hired like regular city or state police.
If a Sheriff says no, that's the last word.
This is why it is extremely important for people to understand to VOTE when a Sheriff comes up for election and not just blow it off. He is the Authority you want on your side if shit goes sideways!!!
Gosh, no kidding. Does nobody know how the Constitution works? This sheriff remembers, apparently. Except, he was too polite, imo. "Let us do so," sounds like an appeal. He need not seek her opinion or permission. SHE is the one behaving unconstitutionally. If anything, he should just arrest her for vacating her office.
I disagree, but only for one line "Let us do so." By admitting the person has the authority, they are buying into the premise that the person has control.
Sheriffs take note. This is exactly how to handle unlawful mandates.
Until seeing Sheriff's stand up like this around the country, I never realized how much authority they really had. They can make a difference.

And their power is in the Constitution.
Exactly.
Unless the tallying of votes are fudged.
Unless you are in AZ and the election is stolen and funded by Soros. Looking at you Sheriff Peniz.

Okay then.

Counterpoint: it’s one last plea for peace before he really tells her to get fucked 10 different ways on Sunday.
Sheriffs have a lot of power if the people back them.
