I got into yet another argument with my mom about mask and vax. She is a teacher and believes every word of MSM. She says that she and her students have had no problem with masking, she has had no issue with vax (though after minor procedure she got blood clots which was just after the 2nd jab). I told her I have read studies and done my research and I believe both are harmful and I shouldn't be forced to do something based on observations not real studies. She basically tells me I am too stupid to read studies and be able to tell that they are real studies as well as observations are really studies even If they don't have to have a control.
Anyways, I am so frustrated with the lack of analytical and rational thought from people like my mom that just believe everything they are told. It is like they have completely forgotten the basics of biology and how viruses work. They have lost their critical thought and questioning skills. I have a lot of family members that got the jab and have no idea what it actually is.
Its not that hard to understand. You dont need a degree. Plain old fashioned common sense tells you everything. From the start everything they said, the opposite was the truth.
And not just the virus and jab but in politics, everyday news
She is right in one thing, observations are studies, they are the first step in identifying questions. She is letting other people ask and answer the questions though, based on the observations they pick. That's the important point, all observations have to be considered, not just the ones you like. If you are willing to continue arguing, you can start printing articles from NIH/PubMed. They look much more impressive that way with the letterhead and all the references, and it is official government stuff. However, my experience has been "I showed your papers to an actual doctor and he was dubious" about the findings of 50 PhDs and actual doctors.
Right, observations are the start of the scientific method but you can't claim an observation is scientific proof unless there is a control and replication of data. You are right, they pick the observations that fit what they are trying to sell and ignore everything else. I have sent her stuff from NBCI and NIH and the CDC and she refuses to read any of it. She does not want to see anything that goes against what she believes.
It's a battle neuther of you is going to win so take the discussion off the table. Talk about other things - there's a universe of other topics.
For all we know, she may have reduced her lifespan with the jab, so make the most of the time she has left. Let her know you love her even if you can't agree on some things.
Someday, either through natural or jab-induced causes, one of you will no longer be around for the other to argue with and that's not the time for the one left to realize that precious time that could have been spent with someone you love was wasted because you couldn't force/reach agreement on this topic.

This really is nuts absolutely zero consideration for people who would be medically contraindicated either. I have a pretty severe clotting disorder that I have to take blood thinners for -for life. But for some reason there’s no consideration for me, 2 years ago it would have been absolutely forbidden for me to take any of them bc they all have the stated risk of clotting. Now? “Who cares!! Get the the shot!” Freaking clown world. 🤡 🌎
This is also why they came out and said the PCR tests couldn't differentiate between the Flu and COVID19. That way, people that popped the COVID test and believe they have the anti-bodies are suspect because it could have been the Flu. This makes people question their past positive tests and potentially get vaxxed anyway.
Natural anti-bodies are always better than the vaxxed kind... So that's why they said what they said about the tests... I'm sure it'll be a talking point soon. The tests are only accurate when they support the official narrative, guys!!! If there's a way that the tests would threaten the narrative, they're unreliable!

At the Defense Intelligence Agency, where I work, they told us that if 70% of people got the jab, then we'd reach herd immunity and could take the masks off.
So the sheeple (yes the intelligence community is FULL of sheeple) all ran to get the shot. Walking around the building last month, I'd say that 85-90% of people got the jab.
So they said, "Ok, everyone who got the jab can take their masks off".... but that's not how herd immunity works... if 85% of the building got the vaccine, then we should all be able to take our masks off. Nope. They made all of us unvaxxed people into second class citizens at our place of work.
THEN, just a week ago they said "Sorry, not enough people got vaxxed so everyone put your masks back on." So now everyone in the office is pissed at the 10-15% of us who never got the shot.
They're trying to use peer pressure to get us to conform now, cause they know that our co-workers will try to get us to take the shot so we can all take the masks back off again.
