I think it's to differentiate between those who, for instance, wouldn't even take cow pox to prevent smallpox, and those who would take the cow pox, but have done a risk/reward of some sort on getting the coof versus taking the mRNA/protein spike vaccines, and decided it just wasn't worth it to get the vaccine.

Kids cant give informed consent, or refuse the shots

Parents, for their part, just follow doctor recommendations, and the shots aren’t for THEM, they are for someone else!
