It seems that big pharma were unable to push profits any higher because people weren't sick enough, so the government has decided to just force people to take every drug possible.
Totally agree. I stopped going after all the doc wanted to do was run a bunch of preventive tests to try to find something they could treat me for. Doc tried to get me on the cholesterol reducing medication years ago. Instead I started working out and eating better, and my numbers went down. When I explained to the doc what I was doing, all he said was "hmmmm". I would love to find a based doc around me but they all belong to big organizations, so they basically do as they are told.
Red Yeast Rice also lowers cholesterol very effectively
It used to until the FDA realized it was competing with the pharma profits from the statins and forced the Red Yeast Rice manufacturers to reduce the effectiveness.
Statins before the clotshot came around were one of the stupidest medical things to either take or prescribe other than the outright addictive opiates and derivatives. Yeah they dissolve cholesterol alright.. but your brain is like 90% cholesterol and there is no measure that will keep statins in your body from riding blood vessels around the place and ending up where they will do lots of cerebral damage.. the brain has a huge amount of blood flow.
Cue the alzheimers, dementia and the like. More great and ongoing $ for big pharma.
I follow the Linus Pauling regimen, but modified because my body haaaaates that much extra vitamin C 🤣 It keeps your arteries clear and strong, and he was discredited because of how cheap and easy it is to fix what statins just mask. Try to find natural C though, not ascorbic acid.
The naturally sourced stuff can, there are some good studies to dig into on the subject. Just need to watch dosing, overdose gives you diarrhea, headache, etc. for a day or two.
I would have to go to the doctor's to be screened.
Joke's on them.
Edit: I mentioned this in another post, but my wife pressured me into getting a physical soon after we were married, because that's just what wives do.
I had her schedule one and I passed it with flying colors. Blood pressure was under 120, blood work was great (high levels of all nutrients), etc.
Doctor asked me what my secret was.
"I eat whole foods and stay away from people like you." (Said this with a deadpan tone, but it was literally the truth of what I believe.)
Still wish I had a picture of the microexpression he flashed before regaining his composure. I think I blew his mind for just a moment.
My only health issue was becoming overweight after making the switch from construction to IT and still eating like a construction worker. I started intermittent fasting and switched to OMAD (One Meal a Day) right after Covid hit and have lost nearly all the weight I've packed on since getting married and making my career change.
I've always felt I'll go see a doctor for broken bones or a heart attack and that's it.
I don’t know if it was going to lead to any suggestions of meds but when I took my daughter to the her pedi (hadn’t been there in 2 years bc I decided to go back to the way my parents did it - unless you are sick or injured there’s no reason to go to the doctor!) for a check up required by her summer camp. She was a normal 10 almost 11 yr old, very active. The doc says they wanna test her cholesterol and when I said no she was surprised and I said can you tell me exactly what the test is testing for? Crickets. She brought it up again and I said if they can get me that info then I will think about it. 🙄 uh no...
My previous Primary Care “Physician” tried every statin possible including red yeast rice and every product tried caused me to exhibit the classic adverse outcomes, joint pain, muscle pain, weakness and excessive fatigue. I remember sitting in my car in the driveway after work one day about fifteen years ago weeping because it hurt so to even get out of the car. I stopped taking statins that day and began to feel better within a couple of days. I told all this to my PCP and also told him I had no desire to turn my liver to mush so he could drive my cholesterol to some mythical number the has never been proven clinically to be beneficial. I told him I was leaving his practice immediately and he could expect a request for my records from a new provider.
It was the beginning of my loss of faith in the medical profession.
For some reason, I have a very clear memory of watching the first blood pressure commercial at about 10 years old (early 60s). It was some lady saying that her husband had died because of this 'silent killer' and she urged everyone to go to the doctor have their blood pressure checked. A few years later the rage was high cholesterol. These things exist, but I think they were always intended to suck people into the medical-industrial complex and trap them there. My evidence is that over the years they've repeatedly lowered the 'normal' ranges of these things. A nurse told me the other day that a blood pressure over 120/something is now considered high. I transcribed medical reports for 18 years and during that time they lowered it from 140 to 120. On top of that, the digital monitors consistently register 30 to 40 points higher than a manual cuff, and some doctors/nurses have returned to using a manual cuff. The medical-industrial complex appears to be more about control and profit than it is about health. Since 1994 I've only seen doctors for two things: Appendicitis and a finger tuft fracture. I'm in my 60s and extremely healthy, and I intend to stay that way, which is why I avoid doctors like the plague.
It was a nurse on here who told me that and I don't remember who. However, the digital monitors explain why the last 3 times my blood pressure has been read (2015 in emergency room for a finger tuft fracture, 2018 in optometrist office and this year in the dentist's office) it's been inordinately high and I have not one symptom. And what's the deal all of a sudden with optometrists and dental offices taking one's blood pressure? Until this year I went 60 years without a single blood pressure reading in a dental office. I think it's because any idiot can use the digital monitors, and from here on out I'm telling them not to do it because it gives false readings.
Statins are the biggest money maker for the pharmaceutical companies. They push this drug line it’s candy and it’s super bad for you. There hasn’t been any studies on this but the increase in statin prescriptions correlate with increases of Alzheimer’s disease.
I have two brothers-in-law that have been on statins, both of them developed a very strange edge to their personality, that I would describe as being on the edge of dementia, in their 50s/60s. Stay away from statins.
Ironic that you post about statins. In June a family member had an episode but they didn't know what or why, similar to a TIA. They ran every test both blood and radiology on his brain. They didn't find any acute disease. Even his lipid panel was normal(according to their values of what's normal) but the neurologist put him on statins anyway even though his numbers were healthy or low. I advised him against taking them and he listened to me and is not taking them.
Bible says both pigs and ducks are unclean, and I avoid those products to claim the promises associated with that (i.e. the diseases of the Egyptians will not fall upon me.)
I use olive oil, avocado oil, and coconut oil. I only use butter, coconut, or olive oil for cooking if it's low heat. Avocado oil has a higher smoke point so I use that if I'm frying something (which is a rare occasion these days).
this hap[pened even before 2016..... blood pressure was ALWAYS measured at 140 NOT 120 <===yeah statins!!!!
they are gonna start telling folks its dangerous to blink their eyes or swallow
wow thats interesting
Seriously- now just about everyone is borderline hypertensive or hypertensive & pills are always the first recommendation.
exactly this my personal doctor at the time told me they lowered the stats for almost everything ...
pharma can go phuck themselves
It seems that big pharma were unable to push profits any higher because people weren't sick enough, so the government has decided to just force people to take every drug possible.
The greatest insanity is the "annual physical," particularly if you feel healthy.

I avoid Big Pharma. They can recommend all they like, but I'm not taking their drugs.
Statins can cause Diabetes. They want people sicker. Besides Bergamot supplements lower cholesterol just as well as statins.
It used to until the FDA realized it was competing with the pharma profits from the statins and forced the Red Yeast Rice manufacturers to reduce the effectiveness.
They forced the manufacturers to keep the level of lovastatin produced by the yeast below a certain level.

low fat diets, too
I've notice a lot more people having to get their gall bladders removed ever since the low fat fad started.
i think statins are a huge contributer to the rise in detached retina cases as well.
I follow the Linus Pauling regimen, but modified because my body haaaaates that much extra vitamin C 🤣 It keeps your arteries clear and strong, and he was discredited because of how cheap and easy it is to fix what statins just mask. Try to find natural C though, not ascorbic acid.

I have read a study that says hcq helps lower bad cholesterol. Imagine that.

Evil MF'ers. I knew they were bad, now I know they are demons from hell. Damn them all.
Do not take statins. They took my grandfather’s mobility

Avocado oil, olive oil, coconut oil are all ok. Lard or beef tallow better IMO.
virgin olive i think is good
