He got the shot because his job requires him to travel. About a week after the second jab he developed a severe case of shingles. Only recently has he returned to work after about three months off. The pain was so bad he could not wear a shirt. He is considering retiring if required to get another jab. There is a resistance developing among the previously jabbed.

I can. I've been helping my mom cope with seeing her friends fall for the lies and fearmongering and it's been pretty difficult for her. She's lost a lot of "friends" (whose relationships she now realizes weren't worth it) over this whole thing. In fact I believe at this point it's just her and one other person she knows who've held out.
Fortunately I've already had the displeasure of waking up to the majority of people's stupidity several years ago so none of this took me by surprise. It's been a blessing in disguise I guess to have already been there and done that.
