My work is now mandating vaccines. I won't leave until I find other work or am fired, but I am trying to think very hard about what to do.
I will not take the vaxx, so that's not an option.
What are others doing?

This happened to me in the beginning of July. I went out with pride and got terminated. I had the summer off while collecting unemployment and start my new gig for more money with a based employer next week. Do not fear this, embrace it. You’re doing the right thing.
I’m thinking a lot of retro lawsuits will be filed in the future.
Did they deny a religious exemption? Find a lawyer
Why are people so ok with a religious exemption? I have a personal exemption and I am offended that I have to explain myself…my work just said the 10th is our last day unless we have gotten the first shot, or get a medical or religious exemption and be forced to take the test weekly… I refuse to do either, so I am not replying and when they directly ask me about it I will then say that I am not signing any documentation and if they need to fire me that’s what they have to do… I will not submit religious or medical information nor will I agree to get tested or a shot… if they don’t need me there are 10 million open jobs out there right now that aren’t getting filled so stand up for yourselves and fight back and trust that it will turn out right in the end…
What do you mean why are people okay with a religious exemption? Considering you are actually Christian, there are all kinds of reasons to decline vaccinations
Why should we have to have a religious exemption? It’s like I have to beg for an exemption… I do believe in all of the stuff being put out by people encouraging doing a religious exemption… but I disagree with even the idea that I have to explain myself to them… I DONT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN THE EXPERIMENT
It’s not begging them for an exemption. It’s asserting your rights. No asking required. If they don’t like it that’s on them. Just say you’re religiously exempt and move along.
Actually my company found a way around that by mandating testing IF I qualify for the exemption even though I work from home…
And when it’s denied? Or alternatives like forced weekly testing? Quit playing that game
Remember - the only vaxxines available in the US are still under Emergency Use Authorization only. The licensed vaxxine Comirnaty is not currently available in the US and probably won't be for some time. That means, all the jabs out there have liability shields for the manufacturers and are still under EUA requirements. Everyone has the right of refusal and exemptions that an employer MUST make reasonable accommodations due to the exemptions. There are several lawsuits being filed over this EUA issue. Not sure if AFLD has the updated information but legally you cannot be forced to participate in a clinical trial using an experimental drug. That is still the law internationally and in the US under informed consent.
Read the FDA official page on Comirnaty. This is the drug that was approved for biologics license application. https://www.fda.gov/vaccines-blood-biologics/comirnaty
On August 23, 2021, the FDA posted the “Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine EUA Fact Sheet for Recipients and Caregivers” on their website. This is the sheet that those who administer the jab will hand out to patients.
https://www.fda.gov/media/144414/download
The very first paragraph on the fact sheet states that a person will be offered either Comirnaty (or) the Pfizer jab under EUA. Just as an additional side note: the purpose of these jabs was never about prevention of COVID - only the reduction of symptoms. They cannot prevent infection nor stop transmission of the "virus" associated with COVID. This statement will be challenged.
The problem is that BioNTech claims that Comirnaty will not be available for use until 2023 or 2024. These are recognized as two separate vaxxines by the FDA although it is claimed that they can be interchanged with each other.
Please read the following article for more clarification on this bait and switch move by the FDA and Pfizer. Pass the information along. The more people that are aware that the jabs being offered are NOT FDA approved the better we will be able to stop them before people either get fired or succumb to the clot shot. Pfizer-BioNTech Vaccine Is Still Under EUA, Comirnaty Was Approved But Will Not Be Available For Some Time Causing Confusion
I would say it depends on your job, job prospects in your area and your personal financial situation. It's easy for somebody online to tell you what to do, but only you know how you would be affected if it comes to getting fired.
I could likely liquidate some assets (sports car, nice guitars etc.) to get around 40 thousand dollars that could get me by for a year while I try to find something els, and could theoritically collect unemployment too. This is acutally starting to sound pretty enticing lol.
Keep your expenses minimal is just as important. Use your free time to learn about other areas or get some new skills.
Regardless, don't get the jab. Period.
Just found out today for myself. I don’t even want to work for these ass holes.
Playing the clock. Learning to be suicidal enough if I finally HAVE to get the jab. Activism until then.
I started applying and interviewing immediately after they announced. my skillset is in high demand, so I doubt Ill have trouble landing a new job. Interviewing/hiring process is slow though, so get started asap if you intend to leave.
Just applied for the first job. In Canada here it's going to be tough, but I am going to apply for one job a day until they either reverse the policy, I get fired, or I find new work.
Check out front line doctors website. I believe they have some resources.
Best of luck friend.
Any nursing jobs not requiring the V?
Tell them you won't take the vac and you will show up to work as scheduled. Then tell them the balls in their court!!
If my employer goes down the same path, I'll sue them into the stone age. As stupid as they are, I don't think they are that stupid although they are probably seesawing between: we'll get sued by the unvaxed but then if a vaxed gets Covid and dies, their family will sue us for allowing unvaxed.
They are pretty much cowards when legal action is taken.
Got the hell away from my woke employer because they weren’t paying me my full check a while back. Currently working for a small BASED company who doesn’t even believe in the mask mandates, let alone vaccines. The hilarious thing is that it’s a much less stressful job that pays more than my last one, which ran me ragged and gave me no work-life balance.
I already have an interview for next week!
