A team of “variant hunters,” as they call themselves, race to track changes in the fast-mutating SARS-CoV-2. A “virus farmer” grows the latest variants so researchers can test how they fare against the vaccine. And a colleague known as the “graphing unicorn” converts the data into intelligible results overnight.
I’m testing that now in the frog chamber. The testing details would turn your stomach so I won’t elaborate, however it’s worthy to note no Pepe’s are harmed in the chamber except the marxist Chyneez ones. I shoot them into the stratosphere with Estes rockets. Or used as bass bait.
If you've ever worked with scientists, they can be quirky people. This guy is probably a flamer with a My Little Pony fetish, and his female colleagues thought it was cute, so the name stuck. It's not a formal name, it's just an in-house name for this guy.
They're trying to humanize Pfizer and make them sound relatable all through this article. They started with the woman with the frazzled red hair, etc. It's a puff piece by a medical news outlet that normally does better, but one which has also toed the politically acceptable line on COVID FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt) and preference for Pfizer vaccines as the one-stop solution. I've lost a lot of respect for them over the past 18 months, frankly.
That is a great example of critical thinking, friend.
For how relatively small the community is compared to some others, some of the perspectives I read on here are among the most well-thought out I've come across.
Fren I thot exactly that as I started to read, "this is pure BS, someone is trying a tad too hard with the platitudes" at least that's what it feels like to me?
At one point the writer starts talking about her red hair like he's writing a fucking sleezy romance novel. I stopped reading. I think these people are just making shit up. Both the scientists and the "journalists" are just trying to make it all sound good, but truth is half of what they say is lies to justify their goals.
That sounds like fantasy writing to me. Or comms.
Growing variants without a source? 🙄
I’m sure they are used to pulling things out of their asses.
We have to spread it to know what's in it!
LOL
I'm growing my own variants in my nose. It all starts with breathing-in chemtrail infused air...
Kek
Can gay frogs catch the variants?

tapeworms, lel
Hurry get them some horse paste for them worms! KEK!
If they can do that, they could create it.
Oh..wait.
"graphing unicorn", so, nonexistent. Yup, fantasy.
Yeah, I even tried searching the term- nada. Psy-ence.
👆🏼 KEK 😂

Same, it reads to me like a Year 8 project trying to impress a teacher with BS-ery.
it's written like a novel and its full of lies
