Trying to make some decisions on how to best prep for the times, should things worsen before they improve. I want to get my money out of the bank asap and I'm thinking of using it to buy a plot of land as my long term investment/savings strategy. This would protect my money from both inflation and government overreach, as I believe a few more steps ahead in their plan will be to block us from our banking accounts if we do not comply. We are not there yet but I think it's coming. The land will also be an available resource should I need it in the event of food shortages as I am a master gardener but my current property is tiny.
I'm also calling a ranch today to invest in a quarter cow for my freezer. Between that and the fall garden, finding food won't be an issue for months. Regardless what the near future holds, I have to make sure I can keep my kids fed.
Do you have any prepping plans in action? Any advise?
These plans are probably ahead of most others and is wise to do. I do think that is wise of you as well.
Having the garden is absolutely needed to survive longtime. I would recommend also having some short term solution canned goods or emergency food rations. Stash them in different places. Tell no one about them. Consider getting large quantity of fresh water as well as strong cheap alcohol.
Alcohol is used for 4 functions. 1. Cleaning 2. Trading 3. Other people to drink not you. 4. fuel/fire starting
A solar power generator is good as it can be run indoors and does not make much noise.
Consider having a stash on the land you acquire. Either bury it or build a structure and secure it.
Get armed if not already.
get a dog. Treat and think of it as a guard rather than a pet.
While I am not sure a total collapse of society is likely it is possible that law enforcement may stop responding to specific areas or not respond quickly. Food shortages and stress might make good people act irrational and one should be aware of this.
Study Grey man tactics to blend and disappear.
Anything you can find for homesteading can be used on the land you get for preparing though a more security view should be applied.
I was looking at getting one last year but couldn't find the solar panel for it, I need to check again.
I do have a good amount of food storage too, I just prefer not to have to use it if possible, as my diet only consists of fresh whole foods (mainly grassfed meats and fresh green veggies), not grains or legumes, and if I have to switch over to it, my autoimmune will flair up and make survival that much harder. We have rain water collection already set up and I have a berkey, so water is never an issue for us. Do need to get some alcohol though, didn't think of that.
Actually thought of that too so I'll share my plan. Ever heard of monolithic domes? They are near the dallas area. That's my future dream home, but in the meantime they do have small buildings available for storage use or to use as an emergency shelter. They are fireproof, tornado proof, bullet proof, hurricane proof, pretty much the safest structure you can build yourself.
Very good you are doing great ahead of most people. While you have the anonymity online, consider being confidential otherwise as it becomes a temptation for others when stress gets high.
Monolithic Domes are a good option, Earthship homes and similar structures are also good.
Definitely, no one knows our plans outside of our home. Even toying with the idea of getting a camper in case we need to flee.
I discarded that solution because in case of electrical outage you will not be able to get gas so you will be stranded on the freeway a tanks distance from home.
We have gas stored up. We are also very close to where we would flee. I really don't want to buy the camper but its either that or flee in the car with a tent. I honestly just hope it won't come to that. Society better reach it's breaking point before then.
Here in Victoria all the country property has sold out, doubling or tripling in price as people in Melbourne, once the world's most liveable city, are fleeing communism and endless lockdowns. But the cabal plan to confiscate the land and exterminate all the white people, so unless we win this war land will not help. We know they can and will take our bank accounts. Perhaps gold, but unless you can hide or protect it, that is easily lost.
Once the vaxxed die off in the great death of 2022, land will become abundant, and the prices should crash, but it depends on whether we take our countries back from the cabal as to whether we are allowed private ownership of land.
While all of this is theoretical, even though a lot of evidence kind of support this, there is a value in having a document that shows ownership of land for the future. Even if it is taken away to come back on the after side, even if it is a decade afterward can help a person get at least something if not the actual land back. The benefit in the short terms is the right morally, ethically, spiritually, and legally to tell someone to get off the land or to protect oneself in the process. Purchasing the land to preserve wealth maybe helpful and may not.
Today I refilled my food-grade plastic buckets. I now have parboiled rice, basmati, aborio rice, couscous, polenta, salt, sugar, whole grain flour, self-raising flour, various pastas, dried peas, dried beans, dried yeast, tea and coffee and lots of frozen and tinned veggies. The freezers are full. Where I live in Italy, as an unvaxxed person, potentially I could be locked out of shops by the end of this month. I still have more to purchase, but I can survive for a little while longer.
Don't count on refrigerated or frozen items. The first thing they'll do to 'smoke us out' is cut off our electricity and water supply.
Good for you! We gotta just wait out their tyranny. The govts and economy’s can’t handle us not being dependent on them for only so long
Just remember the grains and pastas provide calorie intake but not vitamin and protein nutrition very well. Good that you have the tinned and frozen veggies must eat them with the pastas and grains. Consider adding protein powders and dry or liquid vitamins.
Honestly I am not sure about the area in Italy but a long term solution to either get out or grow food would be a good next step.
If you buy a property in a rural area (I keep hearing to get out of major cities), it's important to have a natural water source. The water supply is already being attacked and I believe it will only get worse.
Yep, rain barrels and a Berkey system means you'll never run out of water, assuming it rains in your area.
Besides water/food resources, make sure to write down or print out any necessary recipes, instructions, addresses or any other valuable printed items that may not be accessible with loss of electricity. Books as well that you may need. Buy a home remedies book for future use. Unless the authoritative medical state is destroyed, hospitals will not be my choice for any help. I just received Conrad LeBeau's book entitled "Hydrogen Peroxide and Aloe Vera, A Home Remedies Book". Website is here to order. He talks about more than just aloe and H202. Here are some from his recommended list for basic infection fighting 1.) Tincture of Iodine 2.) 3% Hydrogen Peroxide 3.) Sea Salt 4.) Raw Garlic 5.) Raw Garlic soaked in Apple Cider Vinegar 6.) Grapefruit Seed Extract 7.) Colloidal Silver 8.) Baking Soda I would have a large quantity of salt stored...good for food preservation and brushing teeth if toothpaste runs out. I'd make a homemade toothpaste with salt, baking soda, splash of water and dried mint leaves.
That’s a smart plan. Buy land in a based red state fren.
Already in one, though I need to get away from my mid-sized city as population centers are getting less red as time goes by.
If we flee the cities the cities will lose massive population and will lose power. In my area red still outnumbers blue, even in the city, but this place is just too crowded for me, i hate it and it was always my plan to go way out to the country, long before this covid shit started.
I’m with you on the banking plan. We already own quite a bit of land so not sure that would be the best investment for us, but maybe it is. The quarter cow is a good idea provided you have adequate freezer storage and a back up generator in the event there’s fuckery with the power grid.
What other investments ( besides precious metals) are people considering?
Definitely have a generator as well as lots of fuel already stocked up. We live in hurricane alley though so that's just a normal part of life down here ;)
I also have money in silver bullion and in a few stocks but I can't grow food on my silver and I'll probably cash out my stocks or move them into a very long term strategy and forget about them for a while. If I already had a bunch of land like you do, I'd probably put my money in physical investments, things I may need in the future but may be hard to find, like tools, food, livestock, infrastructure and other basic supplies. My husband has been buying doubles and triples of everything lately, knowing what he owns will eventually break and he wants backups on hand already.
I just bought a crossbow! Got deer and turkeys in the woods behind my condo lol...crossbow is quiet since I can't be firing off the shotgun in the city... They are here everyday....see them from my balcony...20-30 yards. I can yearly so I'm good with that....lots of water stored.
I’ve checked and I found MS has some real nice prices
