He refuses to look. Yesterday he told me thinks that "100,000 lives are being saved for ever vaccine death". I told him pfizer's own data showed equivalent deaths in both groups, and that's before they sabotaged their control group, before the FDA pushed through the booster without reviewing ANY safety data, and the FDA chiefs immediately stepped down. Also the new article today stating that 6x more kids are in the hospital from vaccine damage than from covid. He flat out refused to look at the evidence, and said I was delusional.
Makes me want to cry.
I recently watched two movies that I think will give you some perspective. First, funnily enough, is Incredibles 2. Every adult in that movie is brainwashed by "the screenslaver" and the younger generation has to wake them up.
The other is Indiana Jones and the holy grail, where he is trying to save his father the whole movie, and then when he finally achieves the "grail", he uses it to save his father instead of use it for himself.
I'm praying so hard he will wake up before he goes in for his third vaccine...or just so we can have our relationship back =(
"100,000 lives are being saved for ever vaccine death"
You need to show him this paper that concludes that young people, particularly boys, are more likely to be hospitalized for the jab than they are for COVID-19.
That is what it is. Our brains will flat out refuse to process anything that goes against our world view if it can help it. There must be some evolutionary reason we do this.
Yeh, Jung calls it the Shadow...the dark side of ego.
Everyone has this, but some are able to control it while others embrace it. Those that embrace, typically are the narcissists, tyrants, and similar assholes that have a major Dunning-Krueger thing going on.
That's exactly what cognitive dissonance is all about. And yes there is indeed an evolutionary driver for this phenomenon.
Red Queen theory can account for the vast majority of evolutionary mutations that occur and I can't help but think a similar explanation can be attributed to cognitive dissonance.
In short, Red Queen theory can be explained as such:
"The better a prey gets at evolving in ways as to be more difficult to hunt, the better the predator gets at evolving in ways as to become a more effective hunter".
Might seem to be a bit of a tangent at first, but I'm certain these two concepts are related in some way.
same. my dad is a doctor. I'm a doctor.

I tried....he refuses to look. It's like his brain literally cannot handle the truth

His dad sounds like the embrace crowd.
it's called the herd. fear drives the herd.
Deep in our DNA

Prayers for you and your dad.
