I have been commuting to and from work for over 2 hours and seem to be seeing more ambulances every day. Not very scientific but I believe it may be vaccine/poison shot related.
Because they were making more money staying home and accepting government handouts. Hopefully that's all over now. If a man won't work, he shouldn't eat. Only the truly disabled should be getting handouts.
There are two basic reasons. The first is the extra unemployment. The second is that so many people got used to working from home, that they don't want to work in person any more.
Also, some people are dropping out to create their own jobs, or, as I did, just go Galt.
I've been looking for work after holding the same job through the whole Trump administration and wow shits changed; the Amazon model is like the default employer standard so the new work day assumption is 10 to 12 hours, still 5 days a week. Pass. Id rather be on unemployment than accept these deals. It's not a worker shortage, they're doing the fucking reset and the terms are not agreeable
Lol no. Amazon has multiple shifts available from part time hours to full time (that doesn't mean you'll be a blue badge tho) and their 10 hour shift is the longest that only has 4 days a week until mandatory overtime kicks in around the holiday season. It's a hellish experience but it's not 12 hour days 5 days a week lol. The ones who do that are the super work horses that get yelled at to clock out and go the fuck home because they've maxed out their voluntary overtime. Can't speak on other places but that's what I encountered in a newish fulfillment center in a major hub.
Because no one wants to work for mask Karens. The government is bribing people to not work. No one wants bogus HR trying to push CRT crap on them.
This ^
Also, all the federal handouts have only finally expired (that I am aware of)
I have a theory and it isn't good. They've killed them with the vAx and they're hiding it from us all.
It is not only fast food workers, it's workers all over the industries.

Many of the jobs open are working with the public, which is difficult, and often this is associated with very low pay.
Workers are either vaxxed and getting sick/dying or fired for not being vaxxed.
I will go against the grain and say there is no shortage.
They put out signs that they are hiring. You go inside to ask if they are hiring they say no. They are operating with skeleton crews.
People stop applying to jobs that claim to be hiring when they are not. These companies tend to pick up an infamous reputation and word spreads.
Because a big bunch of scared-ass boomers decided to retire when "covid" came on the scene. Leaving the rest of us holding the bag.
Because people all over the world are drying of the 💉

Bring me enough women and I'll handle the rest.
