Cut out the insurance companies and charge monthly membership fees. Healthcare prices would be lower and providers would be given much more control over how they treat their patients.
Millions of healthcare workers are being coerced to administer treatment they don't agree with and even being forced into taking it themselves.
I would happily be the first paying member of such a network.
Absolutely. The medical establishment has fucked itself out a job. Time for a whole new medical delivery system that the greedy, murderous ghouls cannot control.
Yes...let's get it going. I say go back to home calls like the really old days.
But pay them, many had to stop because they never got paid, maybe a chicken if they were lucky.
There is a rising number of "cash only" medical practices that are able to do what's best for the patient, deliver quality care at a reasonable price, and avoid all the political BS seeping into healthcare. Look up "cash only medical" and you'll find lots of info.
Plus, since they don't need several office staff to manage billing, and they get paid today instead of 3 months from now, cost of care is much lower. Go figure.
"Patriot care"
We wound up with socialized medicine. Which is, of course, death.
Employer-sponsored healthcare was another FDR curse that sent us down the road to ruin. And with the gov't as largest payee, what the gov't says you deserve is what you get.
I cant find a doctor anywhere that has his own independent office. They are all controlled by the hospitals working in their clinics.
It's starting. My dentist stopped participating in HMO's. I'm still covered under Out of Network stuff. I pay up front, they still submit the paperwork to my insurance for me and in less than two weeks I have a check.
I pay by credit card and have the $$ before the bill is due.
The office was very worried about going this way, but staying under the thumb of HMO's would have ruined their practice.
It's a start.
My dentist does not take insurance cash only...his rates are better than insurance...he has a 2 year waiting list
I don’t have insurance, but I would definitely join a health coop.
Go and mobilize asap.
I would join and help if I were in the US, but unfortunately I won't be becoming a citizen for another few years.
Kind of stranded here.
It just so happens that about 1/2 the current Medical staff are about to be unemployed... now is the perfect time.
This sounds like a great idea. But how might the necessity of malpractice insurance affect this? Or preexisting conditions?
Employee sponsored bcbs sucks. Medicaid is better than employee sponsored. Heck, it’s better than most all insurances in some way out another. . . But cash for services is not an option in the poor rural south where more than half your ppl are insured by Medicaid.
This needs to be a group of doctors and nurses who believe in natural immunity and focus more on good clean and healthy eating, good BMI, vitamins and minerals, etc.
It exists and it is called concierge medicine...at least 3 decades old...usually reserved for those with $$$ Doctors do NOT accept insurance, only cash
Hi! Can you provide more information about "concierge medicine"? I don't want to "google" anything like this anymore, for obvious reasons.
Lots of doctors who aren't members/employees of a health system will offer cash pay...this is a similar model to concierge med. Concierge med is usually a doctor or group of doctors that do not accept insurance. Rather, they have packages...monthly fees/dues that include certain services. Physicals, checkups, illnes and injury visits. Some include minor outpatient surgeries too. It doesn't include hospital related visits, in that case the patient will have a separate policy, could be umbrella major illness or hospital admissions. For practical purposes, you can call around and ask for cash pay prices feom independent practice doctors...My primary care doctor charges a $100 cash visit fee (I'm large city). Labs are separate (I'm hypo thyroid). You could start with a "cash pay doctors" search query--its very common. So won't raise NSA attention :-)
This^
OK but if the corrupt medical boards strip them of their licenses and prescribing rights, what then
Sheep from. Goats. Someday these vaxxers are gona need a real.doctlr or nurse Nd they'll abandon the fake ones that believe In the covid and take money to kill people.
