Well if it was ONLY fb, then yes, however you are overlooking a lot of other sites are down.

So I am thinking they are trying to do damage control. Zuck can lose billions of paper money. Gain it back after the stop the damage.

Durham indicted a few tech folks. Florida is suing Facebook.. this is bigger than just “whoops it’s down!”

That's a standard support message. I would expect if it was something like a DoD takeover.
They would go completely silent.
