The perp was under police custody when he was kicked in the head. So, the husband committed assault, too, right in front of the cop. Cop did the right thing, as there were multiple recordings of what happened. I wouldn't expect a cop to risk losing his job by not arresting the husband, as well.
That being said, I would've done the same thing, only I wouldn't have stopped with just one kick. I would've stomped that fool into the tile, or until getting tased by the cop. Then, while I'm in jail, "coincidentally," with the perp, I'd continue the assault. Give that fucking asshole a life long daily reminder of why it pays to NOT be a fucking pervert.
But I stand by my assessment. Cop did the right thing. Vigilante justice committed in front of an LEO is just plain stupid.
You're definitely right, SuckaFree. I don't necessarily think he was stupid, maybe it was just worth paying the price. As former LEO, myself, I wouldn't fault the officer for arresting me in that case, but would definitely be doling out a heapin' helpin' of whoopass, as you suggest.

you say Vigilante justice like it's a bad thing
we have racial justice
we have economic justice
shit, we even have environmental justice ( whatever that is lol )
I don't see the problem.
Doesn't defunding the police = allowing the 'community' to self-police
I just hope the father demands a trial by jury of his peers. Most of us with wives and children couldn't possibly convict him.
Jury nullification ftw

Are you retarded? His son is like 7 years old. I doubt he had him when he was 10.
That's the idea.
It was the perp that got kicked in the head that was 17 not the dad. Does Noone here read?
The real virus is hubris
Still tho... Fuck the police.
