Cannabis kills brain cells. It has its uses. But moderation and on an as needed basis. Toke all day and it will cause issues.
THC kills cancer cells. So, yeah, it has its uses.
Did I say to toke all day? Did anyone? Ever? Just curious.
Like I said it has its uses. Never said "WEED BAD DONT DO IT".
And I did not say YOU or anyone in particular WERE toking all day. Just a astatement that if someone does, it will take a toll on the body.
Spoken as someone who has no idea what they are talking about. It CAN stunt mental acuity if abused by kids-young adults. Kids shouldn't be near it in any case. After mid 20's, that effect has been proven to be drastically decreased. I do toke all day though, and it is prescribed and regulated, so I can say your knowledge is based on very cherry picked "facts".
I grew up watching my brother and his friends smoke weed all day everyday. From years of observation I can tell you that they're are impairments even to men in their 40's & 50's.
Specially if you can't function for more then a few hours with out having to go toke again & again.
Some do take recreationally. Not saying they don't have that right, as long as they don't bother anyone in their impairment and contain that stupid smell, but those that need mind altering chemicals just to pass a couple of spare hours I have trouble respecting.
You should try it. They slow down time for me. If anything, it's extending a couple hours.
That's just the thing, I have never needed it. I have always found other forms of entertainment. However, I don't begrudge others their chosen form of entertainment.
Thought ivermectin did the same? But wait it doesn't get you high and alter your mind.
Cannabis has the same down regulated effects as opioids, or SSRIs. My patients who use for pain, a certain percentage, just like in opioids, after about a week they need to triple the initial amount taken.
Biology lesson: you have ten receptors before exogenous cannabis use, after you input exogenous versus your natural endogenous cannabinoids you lose 6 receptors as your body tries to equalize what’s normal.
So if you are an unlucky down regulator, and notice you need more and more to achieve the same benefits, I recommend taking weed breaks to offset the process and restore your receptors. No need to panic or quit.
If you do lose receptors the problem is you are now enjoying less benefit from cannabinoids than someone who has a healthy endogenous supply of endocannabinoids.
So at the end of a streak of heavy use, you have suboptimal results and your body has actually less of the substance you are trying to benefit from.
Two words: weed breaks
It does not kill brain cells, that was a study done on monkeys where they suffocated them with cannabis smoke coming through a mask and they lost brain cells from lack of oxygen.
This is one of the oldest and most common misconceptions about cannabis.
That's alcohol.
Incorrect. It slows the synapsis in your brain, often interpreted as "killing brain cells". In reality that's usually a result of heavy drug use, typically alcohol with the marijuana. Look at Willie Nelson and Snoop Dog. Neither are particularly stupid, but they both claim to smoke copious amounts daily.
Moderation is key as with anything. The stigma behind pot and all the claims of it's "effects" are mostly puritan propaganda and false which is ironic because there's nothing in the Bible that forbids weed.
I was surprised to learn marijuana a tuaaly grows more neural pathways in the brain...so that's a very good thing.
It does unlock perspective that otherwise wouldn't be found. There's a reason the government wanted it locked down. Too many people were getting along and resisting the military industrial complex's agenda.
While the hippies were by no means perfect, the propaganda to paint them in a negative light is painfully obvious.
Correct. To this day churches still use fear porn tactics on children to scare them with the existence of hell... Yet if you read Christ very closely, He kind of avoids details regarding hell... Almost as if that's not as important as teaching people to love one another.
