Agreed to both above! We had our national security sold to the DS by the DS.
If we had to tool up for a war as we have done previously, we couldn't. We have too few manufacturers still producing here until DJT came along.
One of my earliest memories was listening to my paternal grandfather speak about the anger he felt when the US sold our scrap metal to Japan for them to shoot back at us. He was right.
Thank you. I was hoping someone would point this out. Made in America as of today means next to nothing. It’s really used to manipulate sales more than anything. We need to change this!!!! Made in America should mean simply made in America.
Also, a certain percentage of the main functional component(s) (think circuit boards in digital alarm clocks) have to come from the USA in order to make the "Made in USA" claim. Virtually every industry is going to be impacted by the global supply chain issues.
Serious question: anyone know if there there any computers/pcs/parts/motherboards that are made in America? I want to put together a new tower system, and would prefer to buy American.
You are absolutely correct. And don't forget that the packaging for said products isn't made here, either. Many people don't realize that "made in the USA" usually means "manufactured/assembled in the USA, with components from China".
In the old days you could have built your own with parts from Radio Shack , a Tandy Corp headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas. Many parts were made in America. 🇺🇸
Looking forward to the day when EVERYTHING is Made in the USA
My friend works for a company that manufactures their products in China. They have had record sales in terms of number of orders this year, but record poor delivery due to the shipping crises. Her company is right now touring American plants to pick one to move their operation to. So one company is bringing the manufacturing back to the US!
My dad is 88 and has a hard time wiping his butt. I bought one of these for my dad so that I wouldn't have to wipe his butt for him and OMG! My husband I I loved it so much we replaced our own toilet seats. Several of our friends have bought them after using ours when they came to visit.
Fun fact, my company is down 25,000 truckers. It doesn't matter where the shit comes from, it ain't moving without drivers, and they are turning down the jobs. We pay 3-5X over any other company and we still can't get people to work.
Fun fact, not much is made in America anymore. He ce the huge $80billion monthly deficit. Buy American and start MAKING American.

...and
Block cargo ships
immigrate cheap workers
What a lot of people don't realize
is that way before Trump
China has had HIGH tariffs.
The left wants to "tax the rich"
OK
Tariffs
...end of discussion.
In other words, we need to redefine "Made in America"
Thank you. I was hoping someone would point this out. Made in America as of today means next to nothing. It’s really used to manipulate sales more than anything. We need to change this!!!! Made in America should mean simply made in America.
Sounds like we need to legally change the definition of Made in USA.
This is 100% correct. There are only about a half-dozen items that are 100% made in America.
Also, a certain percentage of the main functional component(s) (think circuit boards in digital alarm clocks) have to come from the USA in order to make the "Made in USA" claim. Virtually every industry is going to be impacted by the global supply chain issues.
My Pillow is made in Minnesota!
Fuck it's an import...
Really...? You know exactly what I mean...😁
He knows man! We gotta have fun. Gotta tease one another to keep morale up!
Definitely must laugh now and again...
Dammit, best me to it lol

No Foxconn!

Now I have looked into that and I have not found any.

ditto
I've been running into the same thing.
RedStar OS tries to phone home to North Korea. That's just software.
It really makes me wonder who my hardware, chipset, NIC etc are communicating with, and what's being shared without my knowledge. CCP? NSA?
Sigh
I got fact checked on Fb with this one.
Turds.

Does anyone in America make toilet paper. American products are few but I have a list that I try to stick to.
Get a bidet attachment.
What do you mean?
He means wash your butt instead of wiping it: https://www.thespruce.com/best-bidet-seats-4153591.

Awesome, but also from China.
Yeah, but it’s a one time purchase rather than continuing to support companies manufacturing/packing their stuff in China, indefinitely.
Awesome, dude. Buy one from France. Last I checked, that's still not buying American.
There is entire towns in pa that make just toilet paper
Nino’s PATRIOT Switch!? Truly American! You, too, huh?

Union up and pay better.
It depends on if they are headed out of the country or not.
