Yes, because ya know they have no way of finding a toy gun that is safe and just a prop. Hollywood's hatred of guns and them using a real one for "authenticity" makes zero sense.
Also that asshole being able to fire a weapon accurately is strange. Maybe someone else shot them... and he's covering for it.
I was taught never to point a finger at another person and pretend it was a gun. I understand an actor would need to do this in filming, but should know better than to point it at someone when not performing.

Alec is a vicious POS and a shitty actor.
Also incredibly strange to be shooting a prop gun at your DP and Director... even in jest
If he hit another actor while shooting (Brandon Lee incident) this would make more sense
It's almost as if he were completely unaware of the rules for handling firearms.
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FIREARM POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.
TREAT ALL FIREARMS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED.
For this reason alone he should be charged with manslaughter at the very least.
"keep your booger hook off the bang switch"
and KNOW what is behind the target is somewhere inside the 4
3.5 target acquisition and surroundings.
Maybe he was fully aware.

And to chamber ANOTHER bullet and shoot a second person ... just to make sure the first really happened.
