Yes, because ya know they have no way of finding a toy gun that is safe and just a prop. Hollywood's hatred of guns and them using a real one for "authenticity" makes zero sense.
Also that asshole being able to fire a weapon accurately is strange. Maybe someone else shot them... and he's covering for it.
I was taught never to point a finger at another person and pretend it was a gun. I understand an actor would need to do this in filming, but should know better than to point it at someone when not performing.
For a blank to kill someone, you have to have the muzzle extremely close to them. If she's behind the camera, and the gun is in the shot, that would be too far away. It also would be one and done, and couldn't injure anyone else unless it was intentional and he moved the gun around to people and continued to fire at them.
This was most likely the result of live rounds. By the way, most "prop guns" that shoot blanks, aren't "prop guns." They're guns loaded with blanks.
I believe Bruce Lee's son was killed in a similar way (live rounds on set). But there's no way live rounds accidentally find their way onto a movie set. I doubt Alec planned this, not that it's impossible, but more likely someone used him -- though the intended target would be questionable.
My initial question was "who knew something they shouldn't have known?"
Exactly. The deep state doesn't want any more to come out about Hunter Biden and the big guy about Ukraine. Somebody used Baldwin, maybe or maybe not willingly, to do their dirty work. Looks like that to me anyway.
It's very possible. But I would assume it goes deeper than just her Ukrainian nationality -- considering her past. Investigative journalist that grew up on a mostly secret Russian base in the arctic? It could have been as big as her investigating links into Epstein / human trafficking, or as small as he sexually assaulted her and wanted to cover his tracks.
If someone set up Alec it doesn't make sense he pointed it at crew members instead of the actor he was filming the scene with. So he knowingly pointed that gun at the crew members And pulled the trigger. Sounds to me like He is guilty and wants to blame it on the armorist or prop person.
We don't know that it was supposed to be pointed at an actor. The shot could have been down the camera lens. In which case, the person behind the camera (say the director of photography for example), would be the one to get shot.
I don't think there's much to research. Prop gun, someone dies. Then, ANOTHER person is injured. Prop gun? Blanks? More than one shot? Alec Baldwin.
I don't need much more than what we already know for this to be pretty sketchy.

Alec is a vicious POS and a shitty actor.
Also incredibly strange to be shooting a prop gun at your DP and Director... even in jest
If he hit another actor while shooting (Brandon Lee incident) this would make more sense
It's almost as if he were completely unaware of the rules for handling firearms.
ALWAYS KEEP YOUR FIREARM POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.
TREAT ALL FIREARMS AS IF THEY WERE LOADED.
Maybe he was fully aware.

And to chamber ANOTHER bullet and shoot a second person ... just to make sure the first really happened.

One thing is certain: it wasn't an accident.

In Brandon’s case a shell casing was lodge in the barrel supposedly. Or the lee curse/assasination. I alec fired twice had to be real ammo.
Was it 2 shots fired with a hangun/rifle or was it 1 shot fired with a shotgun and the victims were standing beside each other??
