My wife and I have been fighting tirelessly on the local political scene to oppose masks.
My kids have mask exemptions so they do not have to wear them at school.
However the school board has not budged (they’re bought and paid for by the teachers Union).
Hopefully that will change next week as some of the board members are up for election.
With that said, my wife is getting very frustrated because she feels many parents agree with her, but expect her and a few others to do all the work like speaking at board meetings, organizing, etc.
The fact is many are too lazy to get involved. Also, many are fearful to speak out and be demonized by the left (who are literal demons at this point).
I live in a very wealthy area, so many have simply fled to private schools in the last two years.
My husband and I are doing the exact same. Everything about what you wrote above is my experience as well. The only difference, my kids are not eligible for exemption. Our state is Red. Our county is blue. It is a total and complete nightmare being on a complete island from people who you thought were your friends yet still can’t seem to see through all the fog. Covid literally only exists in public schools - everything else here is open including county buildings. We fought hard for that win by the way. Good luck, we are exhausted and demoralized.

my 6 y/o grandson was signed up for basketball. After paying $240 we were informed they must wear a mask at all times. Same with spectators. We do not mask, at all. We asked for a refund, and of course they had small print on the application no refunds after Oct 1.
My grandson will not be playing basketball this year. My son/wife are out the $240. Fuck Joe Biden. Fuck Gavin Newsome.
My baby has never worn a mask for COVID protection nor will she ever wear one. Im blessed, however. Not at school age yet and also no daycare. Shes with mom and dad all the time and we only shop where we can be maskless. Even moved from a blue state to a red state cause the blue states are coming after my parental rights and medical freedom. When my daughter is of school age I will bust my hump and learn how to home school. This is the way.

My school accepted my children’s mask Medical exemptions. Praise the Lord!!
