Thursday afternoon I started feeling (a burning? rawness?) discomfort in my throat. I went home and took a dose of Ivermectin, 200 mg of zinc and 1000 mg of quercetin and I also gargled hydrogen peroxide before going to bed. Woke up with a slightly less discomfort in my throat and called my boss to alert him that I was ok to work but felling like I may be coming down with something. He told me to stay the hell away from work and for me to get better. So I took another dose of zinc and quercetin and gargled hydrogen peroxide. I went to the store and bought grapefruit, blueberries, tonic water, and a sub sandwich loaded with spinach.
I peeled 3 grapefruits and boiled the rinds for 2 hours. Took a nap because my head started to get stuffy. My nose was runny after I woke up and I thought, "here we go, I'm sick!" I poured 20 ounces of tonic water and mixed in 2 tablespoons of grapefruit rind juice and drank it. That was at about 10 a.m. Friday. I took another dose of zinc and quercetin at noon and then another at 7 p.m. with a tonic and grapefruit to wash it down.
Saturday morning I felt no change - which was GREAT! It's not getting worse! Gargle peroxide, take zinc and q, wash it down with tonic and grapefruit, take my second dose of Ivermectin. Do the same at night sans Ivermectin.
This morning I woke up and forgot I was supposed to be sick! Holy crap, I've never beaten a cold this quickly! I used to take dayquill, nyquill dimetapp etc. but not any more!
I just want to thank you guys for posting these little remedies. I can attest that they do work.

I need to get tested weekly for a job but thankfully I found a place to get the saliva test. I don't know if the prophylactics I have been taking for a long time now have kept me from testing positive but I have felt much better taking Vitamin D3 and NAC even though I am around mostly vaxxed people at my jobs.
It really clears your lungs out. The only thing is the pills are large. I get it from Piping Rock and Swanson. I think it was Dr. Tenpenny who said in a video that she keeps it on her desk at work because she sees vaxxed patients. Yes, stay healthy.

When I need to go out and be around Vaxxed people, I always take NAC. I then take another NAC pill in the evening. It clears my lungs and I feel fine. You are right - we have learned how to heal ourselves from the symptoms of colds, etc.
I keep thinking back to when my grandma (God rest her soul) would take care of when we were little (under 10). No OTC meds were involved. Garlic and veggie loaded chicken soup and some tincture of sorts ... we were never sick for long when she treated us with her old country magic.

I am with ya. Yesterday morning I started getting a cough that hurt my chest and it came out of the blue. I took the horse paste, quercitin, zinc, berberine, and vitamin C.
Hours later the cough was gone. Previous ot would be two days of sore throat and extremely painful cough followed by a week or too of bronchitis type symptoms, fatigue, etc.
Dose for 200lbs. The is sort if a measure function on it that turns per 50 lbs.
Our food and water are so modified now that I think that is part of the problem why we need supplements.

I take 15,000 IU of Vitamin D, 700mg of Buffered C, and 1000mg of Black Seed Oil each morning. Alternate in Dandelion Extract, Zinc + Quercetin, or NAC each day. Higher doses and mixed for the NAC, Q, DE, and Zinc if I have any odd symptoms or feel bad.
I've made a point to offer to bring groceries to friends, family, coworkers, etc when they've had Covid or other illness, using the excuse "Well, if they're vaccinated and you are, it'll be resistant to your vaccine, so I'll take the risk against my immunity since I can work from home and don't have kids." I've had a few people take me up on the offer and have yet to come down with any symptoms after any deliveries. (have had a few normal sniffly days, but they weren't around those times and were quickly recovered from)
Currently on standby to see if I get to put my immunity up against a variant from Egypt. Friend's dad caught the Coof through his vax on a vacation. (Ironically unrelated Hey u/catsfive, how're you feeling from your trip?)
Do you know what your vitamin D level is? isnt too much bad for you? so if your level is good, no need to take it. 30-100 is the range... I was at 18, and its taken a year now, mine was just 103. Doc said to back off a tad.
So, my doc had suggested 10k to 15k per day in the morning. I've lost a fair bit of weight, but I'm a pretty large guy. The larger you are, the less efficiently you absorb.

I was watching a Q&A by Dr. McCullough from a recent presentation. (A very good video!) He recommends using Providone Iodine as a gargle and nasal spray, which is used by medical people for prophylaxis. Twice a day if you're out among the vaxxed and up to 4X/day if you've been exposed.
Dilution: 2 teaspoons iodine in 6 oz. water.

Same thing for me. I felt like I was getting a cold-slight sore throat and slight nasal congestion. I took 4000 IU Vitamin D, Vitamin C 2000Mg., Quercitin 800 mg, Zinc 100 mg., followed by one zinc lozenges with echinacea and elderberry at night. I did this for 3 days. No runny nose, better after 2 days, but followed the regimen one extra day. I am not a doctor, so not giving medical advice. It worked for me.
One other note. I have chronic back pain from several falls-it rotates left to right and is worse at night and following housework. I was taking ibuprofen 600 mg twice per day for 6 days, but knew that was bad. I normally take Vitamin C complex 1000 Mg daily, Vitamin D3 2000 IU, and turmeric 1500 mg twice daily. I added back Quercitin 800 mg, Zinc 50 mg and bromelain 500 mg. After 3 days, my back pain is almost gone! I am not sure if it was the zinc, quercitin or bromelain, but I will stay on it for a week and then every 3 days eliminate one, starting with the zinc, and see what happens.
i think a disclaimer for the food grade hydrogen peroxide is warranted here. and even then, i assume it was diluted with water?
Yes, 3% HP straight out of the bottle. Well look at that! I read the directions and it says to mix with water. I have always taken it straight. RIP me! I will continue to take it straight anyways.

how do you know it wasnt the seasonal flu? did you lose your sense of taste and smell?
I'm sorry, the title may have mislead you. I'm thanking Covid because without it, there wouldn't be post after post of research for alternative cures. I did get tested positive for Covid a couple months ago so I should be still immune from that. This cold was in no way similar to Covid. I never did lose any senses.
Loss of taste and smell is not unique to "covid". That is another lie from Big Pharma.
Also C. I might have gotten enough from the grapefruit however. Next time I'll remember the D.
