They should add how to take a screenshot, for photographic proof that can be emailed. I believe for most if not all Android devices it's Vol down+Power.
Amped-wireless WiFi analytics tool. Is a free android app that's great for showing wireless networks. Shows signal strength, channel etc. Not trying to promote it. I used it back in day.
Bad news. We early voted on Friday and they made a point of saying that all electronic devices had to be turned off or left outside before going into the voting room. (Texas. Red county.)
Otherwise they wouldn't let us in.
They also changed the methods of recording the vote - using an attached paper printout and a scanner. (If that was being used for verification, fine. If not, I can think of a million or two ways to cheat with that process.) This was just for a school board election and a few amendments.
Not sure if this is legal or not, just letting you know that if they're gonna cheat, they've probably already got their bases covered. Look for anything out of the ordinary, and watch for them blaming any changes they've made to the process on Covid.
Ok, We don't have privacy booths. It is a paper ballot and then fed into a machine. So let me understand, so I inow what I am doing. I have an iphone. So all I need to do is have my iphone on and volume up?
My area doesn't use "booths", we go to a church and sit at round tables with other people & vote on paper ballots then go feed them into the machines. But I get the point, never thought we would have to do such things, but nowadays you can't trust people working these things to do the right thing. And I'm considered handicap & can't stand in the long lines that wrap around the building, so I get to go straight to the front of the line, so would have to check in parking lot & after I sit down to vote.
I'll take a few screen shots of the results, post if anything comes up, but I'm in a rural (Red) county. I expect NoVA to be the bigger area of concern. Any area that went blue during 2020 actually
Make sure you check for hidden networks too. Idk how to do that on a phone but I sure as hell can do that on my Fluke AirCheck (yes, I actually have one)
Our poll book is updated via wifi, critical during early vote because you can vote at any voting location. As far as I know our ballot counter is not. In Texas, recording devices are illegal within 100 feet of the front door to a polling place.

If there's an app that scans hidden SSID's and displays the the mac address, bonus points.
I use WiFi Analyzer. It shows 2.4ghz & 5ghz, hidden SIDs, and mac address of the AP.
There's WiFi Maestro that shows the connected clients and the location of the device of the wifi network you're connected too.
Then you have the whole war driving setup, crackers, and software defined radios that takes it another level.
Unifi wifi man is a good app to use too.
Sure. That's easy enough.
For iPhones, it's Vol up+Power.
I also found a guideline on it for other versions of it.

For most androids yes. Volume down + power simultaneously for an instant
Pixels -> Press and hold power button and you get an option to screenshot
That's correct. A handy little feature!
So, hidden SSIDs are a thing, but can still be discovered, just takes a tool, if you are going to do this look for hidden networks too!
How do you do this?
Nevermind i should have known to read further comments lol. You guys all rock.
Fluke AirCheck. Or any tool similar to it
This should be stickied!

I walk around with my mobile network on all day. even though I dont use it
Name of the network: COVIDisAhoax
They are idiots.
Thanks. I will do that in Virginia.
Me too fren
Its possible they will hide SSIDs where only techies with a little know-how can find with a wireless survey app and/or gear like a Pineapple.

VOLUNTEER! TO BE THERE!
I'm a huge fan of tech, but this stuff needs to end.
No internet connected counting machines. Jeez.
In fact i'd go as far as to say NO TECHNOLOGY, PERIOD.
Paper and counters only.

Check for hidden ssid too
Is it legal for anyone to do exit polls?
Voted early. Red ticket in a blue city..
Couldn't they just use the wifi of the school you are already voting at?
