"No Vax Needed" is becoming a boon for small businesses trying to compete with the higher wages of big businesses in a tighter labor market.

“We are also seeing a massive migration from corporations to smaller businesses,” he said in an email to CNN Business. “Many in the health industry are completely abandoning their career path in favor of something completely different. We are seeing nurses and doctors apply at travel agencies, for example, and just the other day we saw a resume from a NASA data analyst who was willing to work as a plumber or an electrician as long as the employer respected their values and their bodily autonomy.”

Ultimately the smaller businesses will grow as the larger companies lose workers and cannot keep their businesses functioning.

I’m a CPA in state government in a blue state. I would absolutely take a pay cut and/or a complete shift in my career trajectory for a smaller organization if they were clear about their position on mandatory vaccinations. I currently have to test weekly for Covid on my own time and dime, and that’s after fighting tooth and nail for a religious exemption. It’s degrading to say the least, and I now despise my employer because of it.

You could easily get a job as a Controller in a smaller business or work in a smaller accounting firm. The fact that you have experience with the state would be a huge benefit to them. You could even start your own independent consulting business, where you help smaller businesses—operating as a part time controller for them.

I wish this was the case here in Canada; I was looking for work for about 6-8 months where out of 150-200 applications got 3 interviews and a few rejection letters. Then I started seeing nearly every job posting adding a vaccine mandate, which meant that I was better off staying at a job that was at least stable than looking for expanding my career, also because if my company does come up with a mandate (something the CEO argued was a personal choice, so at least good odds it won't happen) that I would be in a stronger position than as someone new to a company.

Worse, the new mayor of Alberta announces that she is effectively opposed to the oil industry, THE industry that is likely the only reason that the province isn't much more than farming.

When my firm was pushing for everyone to put their vax status in a database on anticipation of the OSHA BS (late October), one of the senior managers sent around an email asking people to rethink going to smaller firms because 'the mandates are just going to continue to go down to 50 employees, 15, etc. Just watch the TV and learn!' (MAJOR eyeroll). It was very condescending but he is also obviously deeply asleep. There was a lot of pushback. I do not know what happened because I refused to even open the portal and no one has contacted me about that, even thoughit was due 10/25. (I must say I would love to shove it back in his face the court decision to stay the Resident's OSHA push to get private business to do their dirty work, but I digress...)

Nearly all senior management is in NY/Boston. I would have allowed that because NY was a shitshow early on that some of the decisions being made were fear based. But then yesterday, I opened an email that was related to our open enrollment/benefits. In 2022, there will be a $100 surcharge for the unvaxxed. The FAQ indicates they would consider dropping once 95% of the employees are vaxxed for our safety because of costs associated with CV. What a bunch of BS. 80% of the company is now working from home even though we have 100+ locations across the country. As leases come up for the smaller spaces, they just aren't renewing. It is laughable. I am sure even more people are going to start jumping ship and there is a tremendous talent war going on right now.

My last firm was a small company of about 40. There was a year where there were a couple of employees who had serious health issues - major cancer treatments and heart issues. That actually did affect rates the next year. My current firm has about 2500 - again 80% working at home. Bunch of fucking cowards...yes, people may leave for vax policy but in reality, they are leaving because when you treat people with disrespect, they tend to react poorly but your heads are too far up your asses to see that. Reap what you sow...

I would have been more upset, but on Monday I accepted a new job. Texas firm. No vax BS. I am thrilled.

Thx! And I know what you mean aboutthings comingback to bite you. But even without the CV BS, it was time for me to go. And it is a liberating feeling.

I was just thinking. I may just drop a little review on Glassdoor about their policies. Make it very professional. (I wonder if I would get banned?) But, digital battlefield, right?

The job market is wide open right now and places like hospitals are suffering badly because of the amount of good staff they lost. You know, the ones that actually did the work! Any company is 20% 80%... 20% are your actual workers and 80% are dead weight who hide behind the 20%. Now the 20% is going company's are seeing productivity drop off by double digits!! Get woke faggots and this is what happens!

I had thought for awhile now that maybe that’s what Q wants people to do, to get away from the big companies that demand control over your body & lives, to get people to branch out in other avenues of work/business. Like for individuals who have skills in anything they can make their own business out of, to go for it, be their own boss, and maybe hire others without demands on their health status(getting the jab). For many it would free them from stress & being in a job they don’t like. Finding a job that suits them better doing something they enjoy, which in turn makes people happier in their lives. I don’t know just my musings on it.

According to a yahoo news article I read(lol) at least 80% of the workers work for 2% of the companies in the US.

So yes I can see workers going to smaller businesses soon even if the vax mandate doesn't go through.
