Same! And I sue the school too! The absolute minute I'm released from jail for beating the ass that jabbed my kid!
Beat him? I'd probably torture that fuck for 5 minutes until I was sad enough to just kill him and be done with it.
Maybe minor harassment and lies sent to his HR department for a few months first done anonymously enough.
I wouldn't even tell them why I'm killing them. I'd just make them hurt.

They gave me a whole ton of vaccines before I turned 18. I was 16 and they dosed me with all 3 HPV, some Hep vax and others including the flu. All without my parents consent and all by my school. This was before 2010 - in the United States. My school kept record of my vaccinations received prior to my turning 18, but they only keep those records for 2 years. My mom was pissed when I told her they vaccinated me without her permission.
I only repeat this story to serve as an example for all of you. Please pull your kids out of these schools.
I struggled in a few of my classes in junior high. The school sent me to a special Ed class without my parents knowledge or consent. I went two days and they were learning 2nd grade stuff. I said No Way and refused to go again and told my mom. She was pissed.
My mom would have lit the school up. They tried to put my ass on Ritalin in the second grade because I liked to play with my ponytail. Like really? She went down to the school to express her feelings very loudly and clearly lol. Office staff wanted her to sign a document saying she declined to treat my illness LOL. She told them to shove it up their ass, she wasn’t signing anything. My mom is awesome. They made me miss field day that year as a punishment for my moms “crimes.” Total bs. Fuck public schools

Oh for sure. I did very well in school actually and I think Im doing okay as an adult. Tell you what, if I took that Ritalin I would probably have had a bunch more issues.

Good for her and all the other mothers. The school thinks an apology is enough? No way. The school should also be liable for any damages that occur (with the right doctor, of course). I remember the days they couldnt even give a kid an aspirin.
I don't know when it happened but for years I'd have to fill out paperwork for all 3 boys each and every year & I'd select the "no thank you, I'll beat my own child, thankyouverymuch" form. Then suddenly I realized that they stopped asking about corporal punishment, I just don't know when. So now they may not be openly spanking your child, just injecting poison into them "for their own good".
Exactly! Unless they had received prior written permission or the situation was deemed such an emergency which portended dire consequences, the schools were very hands off. As you said, even an aspirin! How quickly things change.
I’m a teacher and we joke joke about the magic ice, that’s all the school can give a kid for anything due to possible allergic reaction and fear of being sued. Not Tylenol or even triple-a for a cut can be given, but the experimental jab is okay?!!! No logic in the left.
I used to work at a school and we couldn’t even remove a splinter! We had to put a bandage on it and tell the parents.

How infuriating and profoundly humiliating to the autonomy of the parent who gave birth to the child in tje first place. That mother has my deepest blessing.

According to Louisiana law, 16 year olds do NOT need permission from their parents to be vaccinated. I'm not sure where these people are getting the idea that what happened was illegal.
LA. Rev Stat tit. § 40:1079.1
"B. The consent of a spouse, parent, guardian, or any other person standing in a fiduciary capacity to the minor shall not be necessary in order to authorize such hospital care or services or medical or surgical care or services, or administration of drugs to be provided by a physician licensed to practice medicine to such a minor."
Those parents are going to have a tough go of winning a lawsuit by claiming it's illegal for their kid to get vaccinated without their consent.
I'm not saying that I side with the 16 year old, though. Just that parents need to be aware of what the laws are for their individual state. Way too many parents just automatically think that minor children must have parental permission to be vaccinated.
In my world,that would be a prison sentence for me and a few funerals. DON'T MESS WITH THE CHILDREN!!!!
