Hydroxy is a synthetic version of quinine. Quinine was made from the bark of a very specific tree found in Central America. This discovery was instrumental in the expansion of the British empire because with it, the British were not vulnerable to malaria. Gin and tonic (the tonic made with a medicinal dose of quinine) was part of daily rations.

I don't think it's supposed to be a homemade HCQ, but the good vitamins one gets from eating foods high in quercetin that is being concentrated and quercetin along with zinc acts as a substitue when HCQ and Ivermectin are not available.
Lemons and grapefruit DO both contain quercetin. However, you're not "making" it. Really all you're doing is making tea, or juice, which has the natural quercetin and vitamin C and stuff that's already in the lemons and grapefruit.
Now don't get me wrong, if you're drinking lemon and grapefruit juice on a regular basis that probably is going to be a relatively healthy thing to do, but to insinuate in any way that you're making hydroxychloroquine is just plainly factually incorrect.
I get quinine by boiling Cinchona Bark for 5 minutes. Cool, add honey and drink as "tea".
Yes I do it the same way, but I boil for 20 minutes. Do you drink the powder or discard?

I have a pound bag of that bark but haven't caught on to how to prepare it. Been sick since the beginning of the month. Used ivermectin for about a week. Was extremely dehydrated; taken to local hospital where they made it worse. I am finally slowly recovering from profound and unending fatigue and almost non-existent energy.
I think the recipe is for quercetin but it operates the same as quinine.
Edit: I think you guys got 'operates the same as' mixed up with 'is the same as'
As I understand it quercetin and hcq both act as zincophores enabling zinc to cross the cell membrane and inhibit viral replication.
This does not mean quercetin = hcq.

Wrong. Quercetin has a better safety profile than quinine. It should actually be the preferred option if available.

The only downside of quercetin is that high doses can cause extra stress on the liver. Quinine derivatives including HCQ can have cardiac side effects in high doses.
Ever since taking quercetin daily, my hands have dried and bleed crack with no relief from medication that used to work and at night I sense my heart pumps harder. I plan to switch to ecgc/green tea extract recommended by zelenk.
Different people respond to different things differently, obviously there is no miracle chemical that will fix everyone the same way.

There is quinine in citrus rinds just like in the bark of that 'specific tree in Central America' - (Cinchona bark).
Cinchoa bark provides quinine. The synthetic version of quinine is chloroquine. The hydrogen modified chloroquine which acts the same way but is more tolerable is hydroxychloroquine.
Chloroquine produced the same results as hydroxychloroquine against COV Sar-1 which is the study that fauci calls hydroxychloroquine both a cure and vaccine.
The argument is all semantics. Yoi are producing quinine from both the cinchoa tree bark and the citrus peels (grapefruit has the highest content) which is the son-synthetic chloroquine which is a similar molecule and the parent molecule of hydroxychloroquine with the exact same action against cov sars viruses.

The way to make it is quite strict. Peel one grapefruit and two lemons and boil the peel for two hours. You have to simmer, not a fast rolling boil as it will boil dry.
Do not take the lid off as the quercetin is in the steam and not the water, removing the lid will let the quercetin escape. After two hours of simmering take the pan off the heat and leave to cool, and leave the lid alone.
Use when it has gone cold, sip it over the course of a day and not all at once.
